BINDU

‘BINDU’ is a professionally managed voluntary organization registered in 1993 under the Indian Societies Registration Act of 1860 . It also has been registered under the income tax Act of 1961 and Foreign Contribution Regulation Act 1976 .
Initially it was promoted as a center to facilitate & encourage discussion with women on sensitive issues, to develop their own individuality and help to raise their status within the family and in the society.
The success of its efforts, insist the organization include focus on other interrelated issues and widen the sphere of its activities as well as to extend cover whole list range to other disadvantaged sections also.


Currently, we are working in only Uttarakhand state, but in a selective manner, as in the sense of issues and compact operational area for action projects related activities BINDU concentrated in two systematically selected zones covering rural and urban area respectively. The selected rural zone for development action project is Pratapnger (Tehri Garhwal) and urban urban of Deharadun city.
