I thought we got struck when I heard we are going to intern at an NGO. But there were two things I was unaware of. One, we are going to work under people young and cool. Two, the upcoming three weeks are going to be one of the best times in our lives. It is not something that I say because am writing on their blog, but because I have seen a transition in my own thoughts in this span. My perception of working in an organization changed sides and it finally came down to loving the work do. Most importantly, it is about taking up responsibility and making things work as they are your own. The feel of seeing them finally take shape is simply breath-taking. It all started with a blue heart pin. Jay, our mentor and Faith Foundationâ€™s officer-in-charge, had this idea of symbolizing Valentineâ€™s Day not with a stereotypical red heart but a blue one. That sounded really intriguing as this was a concept which everyone would connect to. Blue is depth and stability. It symbolizes trust, loyalty, wisdom, faith, truth and it struck the right chord with our concept. All we needed to do was to put things to action. There was a lot of blue in the work place- blue hearts, blue ribbons and a lot more. We launched a campaign requesting people to share their thoughts on the topics blue, love and child through videos, songs or through a Facebook status. The finale was a video which perfectly mirrored the people and their thoughts leaving a smile on everyone watching it. At the end, it boils down how much we learn from the process rather than the outcome. If we can thus spread love and care for the people around us especially the children, we have already moved a step further towards a better tomorrow. I got all what I wanted and more from this experience and thus came to this consensus- if you want change, be the change. You donâ€™t have to be extraordinary, just be kind at heart and your sensible self to be worthy of love you get in return.
