Oasis India ( has been in existence since 1994 and is currently engaged in projects based on education, training, microfinance, health & psychosocial care as well as residential rehabilitation. These projects aim to help people move from being victims of injustice, poverty or other marginalization, to living and contributing to stable life in community. We are located in the cities of Bangalore, Chennai and Mumbai.

HR Coordinator (Location: Mumbai)


  • Ensure all Oasis India policies and procedures are up to date in line with current employment law. Ensure project managers are up to date with changes to any policies

  • Employee Relations: managing absence, disciplinaries, grievances, sickness etc. Measure employee satisfaction and identify areas that require improvement

  • Performance Management: coaching project managers on performance management issues and processes

  • Training & Development: providing guidance on development for project managers and their teams. Implementing the training and development agenda; identify areas that need attention and improvement

  • Recruitment & retention: managing talent and succession planning; taking overall responsibility for recruitment activity and campaigns

  • Manage the payroll for the Mumbai office

  • Liaise with the EPF office on withdrawals, PF transfers and payment in the EPFO account

  • Ensure updated HR records by way of personnel files, employee database, job descriptions and any other related documentation

  • Prepare and follow budgets for HR operations

  • Compile and prepare reports and documents pertaining to personnel activities.

  • Process HR related forms for staff which includes but is not limited to pay slips, Form 16s, Tax declarations (TDS) etc.

  • Provide assistance in administering employee benefit programs

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or PG Diploma in HR or related subjects

  • Proven 2-3 years’ experience in HR positions

  • Experience in the NGO sector would be an added advantage

  • Experience in the development and implementation of employment policies and procedures.

  • Ability to create HR communications appropriate for the audience.

  • Experience at recruitment, interviewing and assessment.

  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills in English.

  • Pro-active and self-motivated.

  • Excellent planning and organization skills to meet deadlines

  • Proficient in the use of MS Office applications, email and the Internet.

  • To be willing to serve as and when required and requested beyond the specified scope of duty.
