Job Description – Consultant for supporting implementation of UNICEF Chhattisgarh Project
We seek a competent individual to work remotely with the team on our Chhattisgarh project on system strengthening to undertake various program responsibilities.
Job Status: Part-time
Job Title: Consultant, UNICEF Chhattisgarh project
Salary: Remuneration for this position will be commensurate with competitive industry standards and relevant work experience.
Job Role: The Consultant will manage the project deliverables and timelines for the Chhattisgarh project, support the implementation of the targets and outputs, and assist the team in ensuring all project output indicators are met. They will also be responsible for writing and evolving project documents.
Location: Based in Delhi, with travel to project locations when required
Key Responsibilities:
• Conceptualising the best possible delivery of capacity-building intervention under the project
• Coordinate with CSJ Program Lead and UNICEF consultant to draft training calendar, agendas, and other requirements, in line with the program document and deliverables
• Ensure administering of pre-test and post-test for training
• Ensure smooth delivery of training both online and in-person
• Ensure the drafting of materials and presentations to be delivered during training
• Ensure administration and documentation of feedback forms after every training
• Coordinating with resource persons for timing and availability
• Coordinating with UNICEF and department representatives for regular handholding and monitoring calls
• Ensuring documentation of each training and handholding call
• Ensuring timely delivery of quarterly implementation report to UNICEF
• Provide logistical support for the smooth functioning of the project, including Zoom/Webex (for online trainings), coordination for stay and travel for Resource Persons (for in-person trainings)
• Preparation of all contracts, TORs, and work orders required for the program deliverables
• Coordinate with the UNICEF Consultants and Vendors to ensure timely and effective delivery of the products
• Keep track of the fund utilisation per the budget components
• Keep track of the bills, communications, and payments made for the project alongside the Finance Manager
Requirements
• 4- 6 years experience working in the child protection sector;
• Postgraduate degree in social work, criminology, sociology or an allied field;
• Understanding of child rights and laws in India;
• Demonstrated commitment to vulnerable sections of society;
• Proficiency in MS Office;
• Ability to work with diverse and multi-disciplinary teams;
• Excellent time-management and organizational skills;
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in English and Hindi;
• Detail-oriented and efficient;
