About the Organisation:

Public Health Resource Network is a growing network of individuals and organizations with the perspective of strengthening technical and management capacities to take action towards the common goal of ‘Health for All’.

Its main objective is to contribute and strengthen all efforts directed towards the goal of ‘Health for All’ through promotion of public health, social justice and human rights related to the provision and distribution of health services, especially for those who are generally left underserved.

PHRN is currently working in the states of the states of Chhattisgarh, Odisha, and Delhi and has contributed to the on-going work of strengthening public health systems in other states through its partnerships with other institutions.

Whereas PHRN is a voluntary network of many hundred concerned public health practitioners who are willing to intervene towards ‘Health for All’ by creating capacities and engaging with the public health system,

Public Health Resource Society (PHRS) is the core group that has initiated the network. PHRS is a national level organization that is registered in Delhi under Societies Registration Act 1860 (Act XXI). It comprises of a small group of members and full timers that provides leadership to the network as well as functions as its secretariat.

Job Description:

Programme Coordinator- Research and Documentation will be responsible for undertaking research and documentation work for projects undertaken by PHRS. This would include scientific research, project reporting, development of content for publications and collaterals. In specific, the roles and responsibilities are as follows:

• Overall responsible for documentation and report writing

• Lead person for developing concepts on various areas of research themes

• Develop research protocol, methodology, and tools for data collection.

• Develop digital methods for data collection.

• Undertake review of literature based on the needs of the projects

• Technical training of the teams on themes and data collection process

• Provide handholding support for data collection.

• Responsible for developing training content and PLA materials

• Documentation of the case studies, success stories, innovations, process documentation of projects, etc.

• Support in developing project proposals and concept note. This would also include drafting budget.

• Coordinate with the MIS team for generating evidence and MIS reports

• Undertake field visits

• Any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Report to :Senior Programme Coordinator

Qualifications, desired skills and requirements

• PhD/ Master’s degree in Public Health or allied fields -Social Work/Social Studies from a reputed institution.

• Minimum 5 years of experience of working in an NGO focusing on Nutrition/Health/Sanitation related programmes at block/district level.

• Proficient in undertaking quantitative and qualitative research studies

• Should have managed projects independently in similar positions.

• Must have good communication and documentation skills and language proficiency-English and Hindi.

• Willingness to travel.

Duration:

Till September 2027. The contract will be issued initially for one year which will be extended based on the performance and need of the project.

Remuneration The remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and salary history.
