Job Purpose
The Director will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight to ensure the organization's programs and initiatives achieve meaningful social impact. The role demands collaboration with NGOs, Community-Based Organizations (CBOs), government entities, academia, donor communities, and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
• Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement impactful program intervention plans aligned with organizational goals.
• Operational Oversight: Oversee progress of programs through program heads and coordinators, ensuring timely delivery of interventions.
• Networking & Partnerships: Build and nurture external relationships to support program objectives and resource mobilization.
• Resource Mobilization: Engage with donor communities to explore and secure funding opportunities.
• Team Development: mentor, and retain talent to enhance program delivery and organizational growth.
• Innovation & Impact: Explore new opportunities, pilot innovative ideas, and scale impactful initiatives.
• Strategic Planning: Contribute to organizational strategy, annual planning, and policy discussions.
Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in any discipline.
• Specialization in social sciences, leadership and NGO management, or corporate social responsibility (CSR) is preferred. Expertise in managing multilateral funds, working with UN agencies, foundations, and both national and international government organizations, along with a strong understanding of FCRA, IT Act, and related policies, is highly desirable.
Knowledge:
• Expertise in people management, networking, leadership strategy, and program implementation.
• Familiarity with NGO operations, quality control mechanisms, and working with networks or federations.
Experience:
• 15-20 years of experience in managerial and leadership roles.
• Proven ability to manage operations of medium-sized teams (50+ members).
• Hands-on experience with strategic planning, execution, and management of INR 3-4 Cr or above.
• Experience in working with donor organizations and training entities.
Skills:
• Proficiency in navigating uncertainty, driving experiments, and learning from failures.
• Exceptional negotiation, partnership-building, and coaching skills.
• Strong fluency in English and Hindi.
