Are you based in Mumbai or willing to relocate and eager to make an impact in healthcare? Karo Trust seeks a compassionate Project Officer to support cancer patients and their families. If you have experience in cancer care, patient care, or healthcare, this role is for you!
About the Role
As a Project Officer, you will be the bridge between Karo Trust and patients in need, ensuring they receive the financial, emotional, and logistical support required during their treatment.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with hospital social workers to identify patients needing financial assistance.
Offer moral support and assist patients and their families with documentation, hospital processes, and logistical needs.
Conduct home visits to assess financial eligibility and strengthen bonds with patients and families.
Work with NGOs, Trusts, and partners to raise funds for high-cost treatments.
Maintain case files, regularly update Trustees, and share stories on social media (with patient consent).
Support Karo Trust’s programs, events, and fundraising initiatives.
Who We’re Looking For
Location: The role is based in Lower Parel, Mumbai. Preference will be given to Mumbai-based candidates or those willing to relocate at their own expense.
Experience: Background in cancer care, patient care, or healthcare will be prioritised.
Skills:
Empathy, interpersonal skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Proficiency in computer use, including maintaining databases, updating spreadsheets, and handling digital communication.
Availability: Immediate joiners will be given preference.
Compensation
· Salary: Rs 25,000–Rs 35,000 per month, based on experience and skills.
