State Project lead

MAMTA HIMC is an internationally recognized non-governmental organization, established in New Delhi in December 1990. Since its inception, MAMTA has promoted strategic solutions, policies and programming, research and global learning in the fields of Maternal New born Child Health and Nutrition, Young People’s Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights, HIV, TB and NCDs, with special focus on promoting rights, gender equality and equity. MAMTA has presence in around 18 states in the country.

About the project:

MAMTA HIMC is implementing a project with the Drug Rehabilitation centers of two districts on Manipur. This project is focused on building capacities of Drug rehabilitation centers and strengthening the HIV and Hepatitis testing mechanism of these centers. The project requires a high level understanding of Drug addiction, working of drug rehabilitation centers, coordination mechanism with SACS, ICTC, ART Centers, WCD, and SVHCP.

The current position would lead the team for effective implementation of the project, coordinate with stake level stakeholders, supervise data collection and analysis the data. The person in this position will be required to have strong government relationships and a minimum work experience of 15 years.

Job responsibilities

• Support national team for preparing IRB documents as applicable using knowledge of MAMTA-HIMC guidelines, policies and procedures.

• MOU signing with SACS and drug rehabilitation centers for program implementation.

• Developing / curating modules on the thematic areas keeping in mind the local context.

• Regular coordination with stakeholders.

• Preparing training calendar and providing training to the staff of rehabilitation centers.

• Planning screening camps, and linkage of positive individuals with treatment and care support centers.

• Ensure treatment protocol is followed by rehabilitation centers.

• Hire short term data collection team (research) for baseline and end-line, training team, ensure quality of data collected and entered in MIS.

• Planning and conducting regular monitoring visits to rehabilitation centers.

• Conduct all the analyses and prepare reports.

Qualification and skills

• Master’s in public health/ sociology /social science / Epidemiology.

• Knowledge of Manipur language and local context is mandatory.

• Knowledge and experience of working with Drug rehabilitation centers.

• Knowledge of computers and softwares (Office, PPT, excel, Canva, MS word)

• Preference will be given to women candidates from Manipur residing in Imphal city.
