PO/ Facilitator_ Quality Control

Mobile Creches, (MC) a pioneer NGO, has been operational since 1969, providing childcare and health services to more than 15,000 children every year in the National Capital Region, through workplace and community-based crèches and daycare centres, every year.

MC pioneered the cause of Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) and focuses on young children under six years in urban slums and children of migrant workers at construction sites. MC’s multi-pronged approach- providing childcare services to young children at worksites, urban slums, rural and tribal communities, working with parents and communities to amplify the ECD agenda, enhancing linkages with government ECD services, training the ECD workforce, influencing government policies, promoting research in the field of ECD, address both the short- and long-term needs of children. It is officially recognized as the National Creche agency by the government and is on the path of accelerating ECD services for the children of marginalized communities by scaling up in partnership with the government and other players in civil society.

Designation: - PO/Facilitator- Quality Control

Position Overview:

The PO-Quality Control will assist in ensuring that the Mobile Creche Program maintains high standards across various locations. The ideal candidate should have relevant experience in the field of ECD, good organizational skills, and a passion for improving childcare services. This role is crucial for exceeding community expectations and creating a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment for children. The position demands travel in Delhi and across states to various sites of MC, the ability to collect data accurately and analyze it, and excellent communication skills for interacting with team members and stakeholders.

Level:

Reporting to: - Manager Quality Control

Educational Qualifications: Master’s degree in Child Development/ ECCE /Psychology/Social Work, Public Health, MBA, Rural Management, Quality Management, or a related field.

Certifications: ** Relevant certifications in quality management or early childhood education are a plus.

Total work Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in quality management, preferably in Nutrition/Health/Sanitation or related programs.

Essential Requirements: The candidate willing to travel for at least 2-3 weeks in a month.

Age criteria: 25-35 years

Responsibilities: - Specific areas of responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Quality Control: Conduct visits across locations to evaluate quality of creche functioning as per specified guidelines/ protocols.

• Program Evaluation: Evaluate the effectiveness of the mobile creche program by conducting site visits to collect data related to the impact of the program. Collect data across sites and compare compliance to the specified standards, assist in analyzing data for identifying trends, and making recommendations for improvement of quality of crèche functioning and childcare.

• Training: Assist in developing and delivering training programs for staff to enhance their skills and knowledge in quality management and childcare practices.

• Collaboration across teams: Communicate with other teams, departments, and stakeholders to identify their needs and ensure that quality control processes are aligned with business objectives.

• Quality control process: Assist in performing audits of quality control processes, identifying areas for improvement and making recommendations for corrective action.

• Update on recent developments in ECD: Stay up-to-date with quality trends and best practices related to quality control, sharing knowledge and insights with team members and stakeholders.

• Reporting: Prepare reports of the site visits to enhance understanding of the team regarding quality of crèche functioning and childcare across centres and areas of improvement.

• Managing documents: Manage and maintain quality control documentation.

• Feedback Mechanism: Assist in establishing and maintaining a robust feedback mechanism to gather input from parents, children, and staff, to drive program enhancements.

Key Skills Required:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively to team members, stakeholders, and partners.

• Fluent in MS Office, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Proficient in electronic communication, ensuring smooth and efficient correspondence within the team and with stakeholders.

• Sound reporting and documentation skills, ensuring accurate record-keeping and reporting of work progress, outcomes, and challenges.

• Proactive Approach: Self-starter who takes ownership and responsibility for projects. Ability to proactively identify issues, propose solutions, and manage processes and activities in a result-oriented manner.

• Time Management: Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines, ensuring efficient time management and prioritization of tasks to meet program goals and objectives.
