Job Description

SDS is looking for a woman professional working in the development sector with a special interest in women's leadership and empowerment issues. The person should have a post-graduate degree in Social Work/Sociology/Law with a minimum of 3-4 years of work experience. The candidate must have a strong command of spoken and written English and Hindi. A good understanding of the UN human rights system would be an advantage.

Major Responsibilities:

• Project coordination, providing necessary support to the team at the field level

• Policy analysis and documentation

• Facilitation of capacity-building sessions

• Networking with clients and organizations in similar domains

• Building need-based partnerships with government departments and other stakeholders

SHIVI Development Society (SDS) is a non-profit organization that works on the issues of women empowerment, child rights, and good governance and promotes people’s participation as a cross-cutting theme. SDS undertakes community outreach programs including participatory research, grassroots action, and need-based policy advocacy.

Remuneration: Negotiable depending on experience, comparable within the NGO sector.
