Job Summary
SACAL is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional for the role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Taptapani Farmers Producer Company Limited (TFPCL). The CEO will be responsible for providing strategic leadership, ensuring operational excellence, and driving financial growth of the FPO. This role focuses on developing market linkages, enhancing farmer benefits, and promoting sustainable agricultural practices, including organic farming and agribusiness initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development & Market Linkages
- Identify and develop new business opportunities.
- Establish linkages with buyers, retailers, processors, and government agencies.
- Oversee procurement, aggregation, and sale of produce.
- Explore opportunities for value addition and branding.
2. Financial Management & Compliance
- Ensure proper financial management and statutory compliance.
- Prepare and manage budgets, cash flow, and financial reports.
- Facilitate access to working capital and government schemes.
- Ensure timely submission of compliance reports.
3. Operations & Supply Chain Management
- Manage procurement, storage, and logistics.
- Implement quality control, warehousing, and packaging best practices.
- Optimize operational costs and enhance efficiency.
4. Farmer Engagement & Capacity Building
- Conduct meetings and training sessions for member farmers.
- Educate farmers on production practices, market trends, and financial literacy.
- Encourage active participation in decision-making.
5. Strategic Planning & Organizational Growth
- Develop short-term and long-term growth strategies.
- Expand shareholder membership and business operations.
- Leverage government schemes, grants, and private funding.
6. Human Resource & Team Management
- Recruit, train, and manage FPO staff.
- Build a motivated team for efficient operations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: MBA, M.Sc. Agriculture, BBA (Agriculture), or equivalent degree.
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years in agribusiness, FPO management, rural development, or cooperative sectors.
Skills:
- Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication and networking skills.
- Knowledge of agri-business models, marketing, and finance.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
Compensation:
• Salary: Based on experience and FPO financial capacity. (negotiable)
