Position : MIS Coordinator

Reports to : Cluster Manager (with dotted line to M&E Manager, Bangalore)

Location : Jeypore-Odisha/ Deoghar-Jharkhand

Salary range : up to 4.2 lakhs CTC

Functional Summary

The position will be responsible for MIS of Rise Against Hunger India’s programs in rural locations. S/he is responsible for managing and maintaining accurate project and program data, ensuring data integrity and security, and operationalizing MIS systems to support decision-making. S/he will ensure timely reporting of ongoing projects. S/he contributes to organizational planning and program quality.

Specific job functions

1. MIS/Data Management

Collect and compile monthly/quarterly data from field on projects/programs at the Cluster level and report.

Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security by maintaining master database on each program stream/pillar and operationalize the MIS solution

Develop program design document and conduct baseline, mid/endline evaluations, and assessments as needed.

Develop and generate regular reports to support business operations and ensure timely submission of all grant reports in consultation with Manager.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to MIS systems.

2. Program Design, Monitoring and Execution Support

Perform field visits for spot verifications, data quality checks, address gaps and analyse data to assist in decision-making processes

Strengthen end-to-end monitoring at project level and use recommended tools to ensure evidence-based reporting.

Ensure development of monthly/quarterly/annual plans for all projects with targets & timelines

Train frontline staff on efficiently using MIS tools and systems.

Provide data for proposal development and fundraising

3.  Strategic Coalition at Block level

Mobilize various stakeholders including at the panchayat and block level to address the focal issue through partnership, participation and mutual accountability

Build and maintain relationships with block level partners to ensure mutual benefits, optimize service delivery in alignment with organizational objectives

Represent the organization at partner meetings and events to strengthen alliances at block level.

Perform any other duties as may be assigned by Supervisors

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with 2-3 years of development work experience.  

Experience in database management, reporting tools, and IT systems.

Proficiency in tools like Microsoft Office Suite, and reporting software. SQL, Power BI is preferrable. 

S/he must be open and flexible to travel and demanding work schedules.
