Brief About Foundation for MSME Clusters
Established in June 2005, the Foundation for MSME Clusters (FMC) www.fmc.org.in specializes in the promotion of MSMEs through cluster and value chain led development. FMC was promoted as a Registered Public Charitable Trust with the technical support of a then UNIDO Cluster Development Programme, in June 2005. It is governed by a very eminent Board of Trustees from the Government, Banks, Academia, Donor institutions and NGOs, ably led by Mr. Ajay Shankar, IAS (ex-Secretary Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion, Govt. of India). FMC undertakes all its operations in line with its vision and mission that are given as under:

Mission: Our mission is to “Assist institutions undertake effective and inclusive cluster based local area development in developing and transition economies.
In India, FMC has worked with around 200 MSME clusters, undertaken studies/research in another 150 MSME clusters and worked with 250 Business Membership Organizations (BMOs) thus benefiting more than 100,000 MSMEs across different sectors and sizes. FMC and its experts have also provided training, handholding, and research on cluster development in 16 other countries across the globe.
Project Brief:
10,000 textile-based women artisans to be capacitated in drawing and colour theory to improve their skill-set and create higher income opportunity. In this regard, 200 new designs to be created out of which 1,000 new samples will be developed for market promotion. New Market linkages to be identified in the tune of Rs 0.5 Cr through wholesalers/exporters/institutional buyers along with online market places. In addition to that 15 CBOs to be capacitated and 250 SHGs/Producer Groups to be formed for managing production as per order generated
Job Responsibilities:
1. Project Management: Keep track of the project's progress and make sure it stays on schedule to reach its goals. In this regard, MIS system to be managed for monitoring purposes.
2. Project Planning and Capacity Building of the Team: Creating different Project reporting format for capturing the progress and evaluate the performance of the overall project as well as different State Teams and regular capacity building of the Team.
3. Team Management and Coordination: Work closely with the project team, assigning tasks, and making sure everyone knows what they need to do. Coordinate meetings and communication among team members. Supporting the development of the skills and capacities of project team members and community partners
4. Documentation: Keep all project documents organized and up-to-date. This includes things like project plans, meeting minutes, and any other important paperwork.
5. Report Making: Prepare regular reports on the project's progress and update the Project head and clients on time
6. Financial Management: Oversee the project's finances, ensuring efficient allocation and utilization of resources.
7. Client interaction: As the main point of contact for clients for the projects under your management, regularly communicate with them to understand their requirements and expectations. Also, provide updates on project progress and address any issues or concerns promptly.
8. Respond to changing circumstances and requirements, adjusting project plans and strategies to tackle emerging challenges and seize opportunities.
9. Visit to the clusters on regular basis
10. Provide Textile sectoral and Project Management expertise
11. Participate in Client Meetings and any other internal meetings as require by the organisation.
Experience
• 10-12 years’ experience over all experience in leading development sector project, 3-5 years’ experience in managing rural artesian enterprises.
• Added advantage if the candidate has experience in Textile, Handloom, MSMEs or in Fashion Industry
• Graduate/ Master/Post Graduate degree in any stream, MBA, Rural Development, MSW, Economics or Degree or certification in Textile/ Fashion related courses.

Remuneration/ Package/ Benefits: We are equal opportunity employer. Maximum CTC limit up to 70000/- to 80000/- (open to negotiation) per month based on experience and overall fit including insurance and other opportunities for further personal growth.
