Kriti is a not for profit organisation that promotes empowerment of women and education of children. We are working in Hyderabad since 2009. Our projects with women include projects on vocational training delivery and self-help group formation. Project Pehchaan empowers women through access to savings and financial inclusion by forming savings and credit groups or Self-Help Groups. The other important core activity in this project is to promote livelihoods to empower women. We are looking for a team leader who will be reporting to the Project Manager to help in expanding the program to new areas within Hyderabad city.
The team leader will have the following responsibilities:
• Establishing field office in new area
• Kriti has currently over 55 groups in Talabkatta area and we plan to extend the program to a nearby low income areas. The team lead will have the responsibility to set up the field office in new area and recruit local team to start the SHG program by forming groups.
• Ensure new group formation as per monthly targets
• Initiate field interventions and door to door campaigns to start new group formation
• Do other activities like health camps, livelihood promotion etc to increase engagement with the community and motivate them to join the SHGs.
• Work with other team members to ensure month group formation targets are being met
• Monitor the group formation work done such as daily mobilisation, awareness meetings etc.
• Ensure SHG meetings are conducted as per norm and monitor book keeping
• Group meetings are to be conducted as per schedule with target attendance numbers being met
• Monitor the book keeping in the meetings and MIS entries
• Ensure other SHG work such as bank account opening, loan issue and repayment collection, home visits, loan utilisation checks etc are done as per the norms
• Review and correct the MIS data entries
Training and capacity building
• Train team members on training modules for SHG
• Train new members on SHG formation and conducting SHG meetings
• Train team members on bookkeeping of SHGs
• Train and guide team members for data entry on software
• Learn and train team on any new activity introduced in the project
• Daily supervision and guidance to the team members
• Handholding support to team members wherever needed- visit field with them, guide and demonstrated
• Conduct SHG leaders trainings, SHG training and any other new trainings
Livelihood
• Explore opportunities for other livelihood linkages
• Plan for entrepreneurship training for members and support in starting business enterprises
Reporting and documentation
• Prepare monthly report- SHG report and plans vs achievement
• Write case studies
• Training reports- if any
• Attendance report
Skills / qualifications required
• Masters in Social Work or any other related field
• Minimum 1 year experience of working with SHGs
• 2-3 years experience in development sector
• Excellent computer skills – Excel, Word and Powerpoint.
• Good communication skills in English and Hindi
Salary- 2.5L pa to 3.5L pa based on experience
