This role will support both the HR and Finance functions and contribute meaningfully to the smooth running of the organization.
The Operations consultant will be responsible for providing administrative support to both the HR and Finance functions within the organization to ensure the effective and efficient operations of all GHS projects. Although this is primarily a Delhi based position, occasional travel will be required to different States within the country based on work requirements.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Supporting the HR functions of the organization by ensuring that all HR files are complete and up to date.
- Providing orientations and taking responsibility for capacity building of project staff on policies, forms, and guidelines of GHS.
- Supporting with preparation of the organizational optimal staffing plan in consultation with the Executive Management Team (EMT).
- Ensuring that the capacity building calendar is released and adhered to for the year. Coordinating and bringing in internal and external experts to conduct capacity building workshops/ seminars.
- Follow up with staff and filing up of the documents relating to performance review process on yearly basis.
- Maintaining leave records, providing orientation and support to staff relating to proper filling of timesheets.
- Supporting the Senior Management team (SMT) in creation of strategic operations plan according to priorities identified and monitoring the same on regular basis and providing information to the relevant stakeholders.
- Coordinating with India/ Africa Staff relating to timely submission of timesheets. Keeping track of corrections required if any through regular follow-up with staff.
- Updating and maintaining the staff and consultant contact database.
- Updating and maintaining the Annual Contracts with vendors for services such as Hotel, taxi, printing, designing etc. Maintaining database of suppliers, equipment, supplies and services etc.
- Performing any other task and assignment given by the supervisor/ team from time to time.
- A Bachelor’s degree
- At least 4-5 years of relevant professional experience in a similar type of position.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills along with the ability to take initiative and make
- good judgments.
- Excellent verbal communication and writing skills in English.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and word.
- Excellent organizing and coordination skills.
- Should possess a high degree of efficiency and willingness to work under pressure.
- Ability to anticipate and solve problems.
- Be willing to travel.
