Roles & Responsibilities:

• Assist in maintaining all accounts of the organization in a transparent, effective, and accountable manner.

• Ensure adherence to Bala Vikasa Finance Management policy and organization's standard operating procedures (SOP).

• Oversee daily financial transactions and verify cash balance jointly with the cash handling person and Update cash statements in respective ledgers.

• Collaborate with Program Officers for monthly budget plan reviews and report to the Director.

• Participate in the preparation and presentation of monthly financial statements with analysis to the Treasurer and Executive Director.

• Assist in preparing for the annual audit of the organization and program audits as required.

• Obtain authentic bills, vouchers, and audit reports from program partner organizations.

• Safeguard all financial documents, including hard and soft copies.

• Prepare income tax audits, annual budgets, and maintain BV files.

• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and oversee the preparation and filing of tax returns, including income tax, GST, and other applicable taxes.

• Assist in the preparation and processing of the monthly payroll for employees.

• Manage and update files related to PF, insurance, and other employee benefits.

• Maintain Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for all projects.

• Facilitate communication with donors regarding financial matters.

• Prepare acknowledgement letters for received and disbursed funds as needed.

• Conduct donor audits as per MOU requirements.

• Implement an effective budget plan as per MOU and make fixed deposits accordingly.

• Maintain a comprehensive database of funding agencies with complete information.

• Ensure all purchases align with the organization's procurement policies.

• Coordinate with the procurement team and obtain approval from the Executive Director for procurement decisions.

• Verify quotations from suppliers and vendors for reliability.

• Stay updated with accounting standards, tax regulations, and other financial requirements to ensure the organization's compliance.

• Any other task as assigned by the Manager from time to time as per the organization needs.

Candidate Profile – Qualifications, Skills and Competencies Required:

The ideal candidate should possess:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field, A Master's degree in Finance or Accounting is preferred.

• 8+ years of relevant work experience in finance and accounting roles, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or managerial position.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting.

• Proficiency in financial analysis and interpretation of financial data for decision-making.

• Familiarity with financial compliance regulations, tax laws, and auditing practices.

• Strong hand on Tally

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel, Word, and other Office applications for financial reporting and analysis.

• Demonstrated ability in budgeting, financial forecasting, and variance analysis.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effectively interacting with internal teams, donors, and external stakeholders.
