Position: Data Analytics Consultant
Job Description
1. About the role: Doing the work of data analysis embedded within the District Administration's office in Chhatarpur, Madhya Pradesh, you will have the opportunity to work on multiple high-impact projects aimed at improving the delivery of public services within the district. Your role will involve supporting the implementation of large-scale policy programmes using data analysis and insights to informed decision-making. Through your work, you will build a nuanced understanding of India's public administration and various departments, using data to identify areas for improvement and measure the impact of interventions. As a young professional, you will have the chance to make a real difference in improving governance and public service delivery in the district. Some additional details are as follows:
• This is a one-year contract, open to extension post the first year.
• The Consultant will report to the office of the District Magistrate
• The remuneration will be a consolidated pay of Rs.75,000/- per month
• Place of work: District Administration Office, Chhatarpur

3. Job Requirements:
• Age between 23-35 years
• Indian citizenship
• Proficient in English. Working knowledge of Hindi will be an added advantage.
• 2 years of full-time work experience along with post-graduation OR graduate with minimum 4 years of full-time work experience, preferably in the development sector. Please note that internships and volunteering don’t count as work experience.
Education Qualification:
o Graduate/Post-Graduate in Engineering / Computer Science / Information Systems and
1. should have studied Data Science/ Analytics/Big Data/Data Analytics as one academic paper OR
2. should have certification in Data Science/ Analytics/Big Data/Data Analytics
o Candidates with qualification of Applied Statistics and knowledge of IT systems are also encouraged to apply.
• Prior experience in managing Management Information Systems and conducting Data Analysis in the field of social welfare and economic development will be given preference
• Possess good interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively within teams
• MS Office proficiency to create presentations, documents, and spreadsheets.
• Self-driven to work in fast-paced and dynamic situations (demonstrating patience and grit in pressure)
• Able to problem solve and achieve high impact in your projects
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail
• Experience in primary and secondary research
• Strong understanding of the development sector landscape in India, especially the government hierarchies
4. Key Responsibilities:
• Collect and analyze data from various sources to identify trends and insights that can support decision-making
• Support in design and maintenance of databases and data systems to ensure accuracy and completeness of data
• Use data mining techniques to extract useful and relevant information from large volumes of data
• Develop and implement data analytics and visualization tools to help stakeholders understand and interpret data
• Collaborate with other departments or agencies to ensure data integrity and accuracy
• Conduct basic level statistical analysis to support policy development and program evaluation
• Prepare reports and presentations on data findings to communicate key insights to stakeholders
• Identify areas for process improvement and recommend solutions to enhance data collection, management, and analysis
• Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in data analytics and apply them to improve organizational efficiency and effectiveness
