Job Description

Role: Research Investigator

Location: Multiple locations involving extensive travel to States (Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Himachal Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Tripura)

Report to: Manager, Health

Number of positions: 6

Duration: 2 months (August/September 2023)

Employment: Consultant - Health

Qualification: Masters in public health / social work with 3-5 years of experience in supporting field level assessments of National health programs/RMNCHA

Experience

Strong knowledge of Child Health Programs and program structures.

Experience of supporting on ground assessments/ evaluations of National health schemes and programs such as JSY, JSSK etc.

Experience of conducting key informant interviews with stakeholders including State government officials, district government officials, public health facility staff etc.

Experience of focus group discussions with frontline workers, community, and Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRI) members.

Skills

Strong communication skills.

Good documentation skills are desirable.

Proficiency in MS Office

Ability to work effectively and efficiently in multi-cultural and multi-ethnic teams.

Willingness to travel extensively.

Proficient in any of these languages: Hindi/ Gujarati/ Tamil/ Bengali/ English

Role and Responsibilities

The individual will be required to undertake primary data collection through Key Informant Interviews and Focus Group Discussions in assigned States.

Local candidates residing in State of Tripura/Tamil Nadu/Himachal Pradesh/Telangana/ Gujarat/Madhya Pradesh would be preferred. Fluency in any of the local languages of the States mentioned is an added advantage to selection.
