JOB DESCRIPTION- PROGRAM AND ADVOCACY OFFICER
ORGANIZATION INFORMATION:
Gokhale Road Bandhanis community based organisation ,working for the rights devlopement and movement of the Transgender community rights for three decades
Main issues our organization is working on:
(for instance human rights, health, sexual and reproductive rights, violence, social justice, Shelter, Employment ailing at a ship which has no flag its mean the community does not get any right in front of the civil society. Our constitution provides us equality but our community does not taste this right. So our organization Transgender deprived community can see the light other persons of this community can engaged development work at result the status of the community become uplifted. Some
scholar said that if you neglect a community, neglect yourself, that mean a country cannot reach its ultimate position until or unless the development can be occur in all area. The activist Leaders from mainstream community easily gets their position but what happened to the Transgender community they are previously neglect and still
neglect. People like us are removed and excluded from society and family, belongs to the thousands of Community people of our
community who reside at a suburbs, Rural, Urban, small village they cannot disclose the real Transgender identity and although or they are aware of themselves but the society, family started discrimination, stigma, violence has to do with them.
PROJECT BACKGROUND:
Working on KP Grant funded by the GFATM or Global Fund to fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria; aiming to provide community strengthening under the Principal Recipient Plan India, Sub Recipient NNTP or National Network of Transgender Persons is trying to bring members together to take collective action and generate solutions for the benefit of the community.

SCOPE OF WORK OF THE CONSULTANCY
The Program and M&E officer will be responsible for effective outreach and referral support of the community to the project directly to NNTP (National Network for Transgender Persons). S/he will be responsible for effective outreach and referral support at the CBO level for all the services listed in the programme. The person will also provide support to the Program and M&E Officer as per the need of the programme.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS& EXPERIENCE:
• 3-5 years minimum in the social development sector in Training Coordinator and/or Advocacy Officer.
• Should be a confident user of MS Office, independent handling of e-mail & internet.
• Graduate in Social science. Masters in social work or in equivalent subject(s) will be preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with a problem-solving attitude.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
KEY RESPONSIBILITY:
• Initiate Mapping, Data Generation, Review and Analysis:
• Initiate district-wise mapping for service providers and help the field team to track and saturate the eligible sites into the programs.
• Establish and track referral/linkages system to access various services.
• Generate service gap analysis reports frequently and inform the field team to plan and improve outreach services
• Analyse program data, identify gaps, share inferences to the program team for new strategic thinking and help development of implementation plans with the NNTP team.
• Support program team on data analysis/data presentation for any stakeholders meeting.
QUALITY MANAGEMENT:
• Establish and coordinate partnerships (working groups, coordinating mechanisms, stakeholder meetings) to support the implementation of the project.
• Contribute to wider knowledge-sharing on transgender and hijra issues at grassroots level.
• Develop and implement a project communication plan, including online activities.
• Provide constructive feedback and guidance to the NNTP team on data management and data quality.
• Co-ordinate with DAPCU/ SACS / other officials for reconciliation of data and for collecting the data on a timely basis for reporting.
REPORTING AND DOCUMENTATION:
• Prepare monthly and quarterly reports for NNTP and finalize them in coordination with state level managers\ and the State Director on a regular basis.
• Keeping all soft and hard copies of the documents.
• Any other duties assigned by the Senior Management team of RWS.
• Responsible for project implementation, advocacy and ensuring target achievements.
• Support the compilation of information about programmes, including workshop reports, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and review and re-planning reports.
• Actively coordinate and take part in the baseline assessment till the impact assessment of the programme.
CAPACITY BUILDING AND KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT:
• Assess the need and organize training / on-site mentorship to site staff (public and private) on data management, and data quality assurance, for consistent and error-free reporting.
• Capacity building of the project team.
• Coordination with district and block level Governmental departmental offices like hospitals, DSLSA, social welfare departments, etc for organizing workshops for improving facilities for Transgender/Hijra individuals in Health care facilities.
• Monitor, review and evaluate the progress and impact of capacity building programmes.
• Support the development of capacity building plans for needs identified.
• Work closely with government agencies, including law enforcement, health professionals and other departments as per the programme needs.
Other Support:
• Assist the State Program Specialist on all monitoring and evaluation activities as directed
• Any other responsibility as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
