The Centre for Advocacy and Research (CFAR), headquartered in Delhi is a non-profit organization registered as a Charitable Public Trust, in January 1998. We are committed to advancing the rights of marginal communities such as sex workers, urban poor, girl child, unorganized workers, transgender persons and sexual minorities, single women, People Living with HIV, people who inject drugs (PWID) and people living with disabilities
CFAR has developed expertise in communication and situation ass
essment research and advocacy. CFAR is currently working in eight states across Indian and being a Public interest research and advocacy group committed to creating spaces in the community, in decision-making nodes and in the media for dialogue on issues concerning civil society; the overarching goal is to influence public opinion and policies concerning issues of different marginalized communities from a gender and development perspective.
Our approach is best defined as striving to work towards and build the necessary synergy between communities, concerned stakeholders, the media and civil society through collaborative processes, advocacy and capacity building at various levels.
In the past decade we have focused on issues such as HIV/AIDS, womens rights and health, child rights, sustainable development and elimination of violence against women and children.
CFAR Trust is looking for multiple positions for its project offices in UTTAR PRADESH.

Qualification : Graduation in Mass communication/Journalism
Experience : 2 to 3 years of working experience in media and journalism or
social development sector
Project : Strengthening Communication through Mass and Traditional
Media on RMNCHA+N in UP
Location : Varanasi, Faizabad and Bahraich
Key Skills and attributes:
Documentation, press releases, spot documentation, media monitoring and analysis
A team player with the ability to meet deadlines
Liaison with Media houses and local NGOs preferred
Compensation: Commensurate with skill, qualification and experience 1.2 lac p.a.
Provide services in Media Discourse through tracking & Monitoring daily Newspapers and daily local periodicals.
Sharing daily news alerts, coverage briefs to the state and National team.
Preparing monthly analysis report based on Matrix of coverage indicating trend in the Media.
Coordination and Liasioning with Media and other Stakeholders, follow up of media reports, press releases and news articles.
Preference: Candidate who has relevant work experience with ability to comprehend read and write English and Hindi language (vocal & writing) and who is computer and well verse with formatting, power point, coral etc.
