 The Opportunity: Finance & Administration Manager – New Delhi

STIR Education is looking for an outstanding individual to join our Finance & Administration team in the exciting role of Manager, Finance & Administration (India). Reporting to the Associate Head of Finance (India), you will work within the Finance and Administration team to support functions across the organisation. You will deal with a wide variety of stakeholders and work on finance, procurement, vendor management, travel arrangements and process compliance to ensure the smooth running of STIR’s operations. You will work in a dynamic and fast paced environment with colleagues from around the world.

Major Responsibilities 

Finance Key Responsibilities

  1. Ensure that accurate and high quality financial entries are made by yourself and the team for both supporting documentation and our financial system (Tally)

  2. Prepare and verify reconciliations for bank, vendors and other accounts

  3. Support, deliver and suggest improvements in our approach to payments including vendor payments, team reimbursements and tracking advances

  4. Timely filing in of statutory compliances and support in providing necessary documentation for various needs for STIR

  5. Support Associate Head of Finance in the review of the general ledgers

  6. Ensure deadlines for reports and claims are submitted and processed on time

  7. When required, prepare accurate reports detailing relevant financial information

  8. Prepare for and implement findings from statutory, internal and donor audits

  9. Liaise with key stakeholders including banks, auditors and external stakeholders to ensure

  10. appropriate monitoring of organisation finance is maintained

  11. Deputise for the Associate Head of Finance (India) where required

Administration Key Responsibilities

  1. Co-create the future plans for effective and efficient administration across STIR’s India operations with outstanding communication and leadership skills

  2. Support and line manage the India team’s Administration Officers across multiple states

  3. Review, document and improve the current administration processes, ease of use and compliance Review and improve STIR’s approach to contract and vendor management including vendors that support with travel, events and technology to ensure ease of use for the team and value for money

  4. from all procurements

  5. Any other task as may be required to support the finance and administration team across India or STIR globally

Required Skills & Experience

  1. A graduate degree in Finance with at least 7 years of work experience in both Finance and

  2. Experience of working in a multi-currency environment will be an added advantage.

  3. Knowledge of statutory compliances applicable to an Indian NGOs (eg TDS, GST, PF, ROC Filling etc.) will be an added advantage
