Prayatn is implementing community focused initiatives to address the issues of children and their rightful entitlement. It has also been using one theme as a tool to address the issues of other theme i.e. to address the issue of children labour organization is using livelihood development as a tool, in the same lines the organization is making attempts to address other critical issues like malnutrition through farm based and non-farm based livelihood, livelihood development through land right etc. In all the initiatives the organization is closely working with the community, organize them, form their institutions and prepare them to address issues at their level through community based systems and mechanisms.
This is a field based position where the Project Officer will be the head of the project reporting to the Program Manager and/or Office in-charge. The position of Project Officer will be responsible for execution of the project in the field situations. The position requires intense field visits to monitor the team and provide necessary support in execution of the project activities.
Role and Responsibilities:
• Preparing different types of plans as per organizational requirement for smooth and effective implementation of project;
• Facilitate implementation of project activities as per plan;
• Monitoring and review of the project activities;
• Reporting and documentation;
• Provide onsite support to the team members during the implementation;
• Development of learning programs for the team working in field level;
• Develop linkages with other institutions working on similar issues;
• Identify learning opportunities and document it;
• Identify training needs of the project team members;
Candidates should be post graduate in rural development, social work, social sciences, agriculture or in any relevant discipline from a recognized university. The candidate must have minimum 5 years of experience of project implementation on Child Right and Development / Health and Nutrition / Natural Resource Management. The candidate should have experience of taking issues for necessary advocacy efforts at various levels by working on and with children, communities, civil Societies and government departments.

Nature of Employment:
The selected candidate shall be initially offered a one year consultancy contract which may be extended subject to resources and the project’s continuity.
Gross remuneration budgeted for the position shall range from Rs. 20,000/- to Rs. 25,000/- per month. The offer made to the selected candidate shall be commensurate with qualifications, experience and salary history.
Location: Baran, Sikar, Karouli and Dholpur in Rajasthan.
