Job Description

Responsibilities:

1. Independently manage counseling sessions with migrant women.

2. Conduct outreach activities and assessments to identify and engage with displaced and migrant women in need of support.

3. Demonstrate success in growing and engaging community engagement with projects, including organizing community events and workshops.

4. Provide individual and group counseling sessions using evidence-based techniques to address mental health issues such as trauma, anxiety, depression, and stress.

5. Collaborate with other professionals, such as psychologists, psychiatrists, and social workers, to ensure holistic support for displaced and migrant women.

6. Maintain accurate and confidential session records, including progress notes and treatment plans.

7. Facilitate psycho-educational workshops and support groups to enhance coping skills and resilience.

8. Stay updated on best practices and emerging trends in mental health counseling, particularly as they relate to displaced and migrant populations.

9. Engage in regular supervision and participate in professional development opportunities to enhance counseling skills and knowledge.

10. Contribute to the development and implementation of culturally sensitive interventions to address the unique needs of displaced and migrant women.

11. Collaborate with community organizations and service providers to enhance access to mental health resources and support for displaced and migrant women.

12. Participate in outreach activities to raise awareness about mental health issues and available services among displaced and migrant communities.

13. Coordinate with the team regarding monitoring and evaluation needs of the project, ensuring timely and accurate data collection.

14. Provide support and guidance to outreach workers, volunteers and interns involved in the project.

15. Assist in the development and implementation of project plans and strategies.

16. Any other tasks arise from time to time to support the overall objectives of the mental health project.

Qualifications:

1. Graduate or postgraduate in Social Work + counseling /Psychology /Social Sciences/Gender Studies or any other relevant fields.

2. Fluency in spoken Hindi and spoken English. Written English skills are mandatory.

3. 1-2 years of experience in counseling and working with the displaced and migrant community.

4. Proficiency in G-suit, Microsoft Office and virtual meetings on online platform.

5. Basic knowledge in monitoring and evaluations.

6. Comfortable with local travel when it requires (travel within the state of Delhi)

7. Prior knowledge and awareness regarding concepts of mental health, gender, inclusivity, etc.

8. Self-driven and proactive approach towards problem-solving.
