Through its projects on Sustainable Livelihood, Disaster Risk Reduction, Gender Equality, Urban Poverty Reduction and Youth Development, IGSSS reaches to more than a Lakh family every year. IGSSS has touched lives of 1,12,10,873 families since its foundation. The Programmes at IGSSS are targeted towards the poor and marginalized sections of the society.

JOB LOCATION: Manora, Jashpur, Chhattisgarh (1)

Position: 1

Role: Lead and provide overall technical guidance on agriculture- watershed and support to establish social enterprises. Supervise project through regular accompaniment, monitoring and ensuring the quality implementation of the Project in line with donor commitments on agreed impact deliverables. Close accompaniment and monitoring of project team/vendor in operationalizing action plan. Liasioning and interfacing with the department at the district and state level

Key Areas of Accountability:

1. Technical Management

• Assess watershed conditions, water budgeting, and implement soil and water conservation measures.

• Develop and execute watershed management plans with stakeholder input and best practices.

• Provide technical support for resource inventories, water management plans, and implementation.

• Build capacity of stakeholders on watershed identification, design, and conservation techniques.

• Offer expert guidance on crop selection, agronomy, and soil health management.

• Conduct soil testing and recommend sustainable fertilization strategies.

• Introduce precision agriculture technologies for optimized resource use.

• Implement integrated pest management to minimize agrochemical use.

• Advise on climate-smart agriculture practices and adaptation measures.

• Promote farmer-to-farmer knowledge exchange for innovative practices.

• Collaborate with research institutions to integrate emerging trends.

• Train farmers on sustainable agriculture and water-efficient irrigation.

• Monitor and evaluate project impacts for adaptive management.

2. Project Management:

• To implement, monitor and report on the entire development programs of HRDP project using participatory and result based approach in Manora Block of Jashpur District, Chhattisgarh region in line with DIP requirements and process to achieve quality programme results, as committed to donor.

• To conceptualize, design and develop innovative and relevant new programmes through secondary research, primary evidence building from field, learning from past experiences and best practices in line with the strategic mandate of programme expansion within the region/organization.

• Proficient in donor report writing, including the preparation of concept notes and quarterly progress reports, ensuring alignment with donor requirements and project objectives.

• Skilled in donor-based Management Information System (MIS) reporting, with a focus on accurate data entry into portals to maintain project transparency and accountability.

• To build relationships with government agencies in concerned operational areas, through building awareness on available government resources, facilitation of interface between government and community on issues of access and availability, in order to develop credibility and confidence on both sides.

3. Knowledge Management

• To collect and collate experiences from the field through personal visits and interaction with various stakeholders, in order to identify those that can be ploughed back into programme design and implementation, for more effective realisation of programme outcomes.

• Document and disseminate experiences from the field that exemplify innovation and best practice, through various media, in order to ensure the effective representation and visibility of IGSSS as a credible and professional social development organisation.

4. Finance and Resource Management:

• To prepare realistic budget, in collaboration with Finance and in line with organizational norms, in order to achieve project results effectively and efficiently

• To robustly track and analyse budget trends and variance, through monitoring and accompaniment, in order to ensure smooth fund flow and effective utilization of funds as per the project framework

• To interact with colleagues and partner staff through dialogue and mutual cooperation, in order to explore new resources and talents, for enhancing the quality of programme implementation

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Knowledge

• Relevant knowledge on project planning, implementation, programme design, monitoring, evaluation, budgeting, report writing , project proposal writing for smooth implementation of project and achieving set results

• Knowledge in agri-based livelihood, farm based and off-farm based enterprise development activities, social security scheme, disaster risk reduction, micro plan development will helps create awareness among the community members in achieving project objectives

Qualification and Experience

• Master’s in Agriculture/Civil Engineering/ Integrated Soil and Watershed management

• Good Knowledge in Computer Application

• At least 5-7 Years of on-field experience with Rural Communities and at least 3 years of experience in farm and off-based enterprise development and marketing

Skills

• Proficiency in Project Management.

• Knowledge Project planning and Project Monitoring.

• Ability to interpret data and the skill to develop MIS.

• Technical skill in online data formats and reporting

• Proficiency in writing reports, studies, concepts notes and others.

• Good communication skills with team members and the others.

• Adequate knowledge on climate change and livelihood issues of the community at partner level and on various govt., social security schemes and on rights and entitlements related to Livelihood Security.

• Social mobilization.

• Ability to interpret data and the skill to develop MIS.

• Good communication skills with team members and the others.

Remuneration/Package/Benefits: Remuneration / Package / Benefits: Maximum limit up to 50000/- per month CTO based on experience and overall fit including PF as per law. In addition - range of benefits including medical insurance, personal accident insurance, and opportunities for further personal development.
