Patang a leading youth organisation in the eastern region of the country (www.patangindia.org) has successfully designed and implemented many innovative programmes for adolescents and young people. We are looking for promising young leaders / professionals with a strong learning orientation for the following position. 1. Position: Coordinator- Samata Cup

Number of Vacancy: 01

Location: Sambalpur, Odisha

Please apply in case you possess most of the qualities/qualifications below:

• Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Event Management, or a related field.

• Prior experience in organizing sports events or tournaments.

• Understanding on gender or willingness to go through Patang’s Gender Course.

• Strong organizational and leadership skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet timelines.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Facilitate the formation of the Samata Cup Committee, ensuring representation from relevant stakeholders.

• Coordinate with relevant sports club and institutions to finalize the participating districts/ football team for the tournament.

• Develop a process for identifying and enrolling teams from at least three districts.

• Organize residential training programme with the representatives from each participating team.

• Implement strategies to ensure the formation of mixed-gender teams, promoting inclusivity and diversity.

• Coordinate all pre-tournament logistics, including venue booking, resources procurement, and scheduling.

• Oversee all aspects of the tournament, including match scheduling, team, and audience management.

• Manage the finance and submit the tournament report with updated database.

Honorarium: Upto 25000/-

Note: It will be a paid internship from June to November 2024. If mutually agreed can join Patang as a full-time member post the assignment. Candidates from outside Odisha are also encouraged to apply.
