Position Location – Dewas, MP

General Position Summary

AARAMBH seeks to roll out a Project in order to “Protect vulnerable children through School enrollment & retention, rescue, counselling & legal support to survivors of abuse, participation in children’s centres, and engagement with parents, communities & government, in 10-11 villages of Hatpipaliya - Bagli block of Dewas district, Madhya Pradesh” towards our programme Strategy for the year 2024 -27 to minimize the situation of children and families vulnerability as a form of Child Labour and families where their labour is demanded as a means of repayment for a debt or other obligations. The overall goal of the this project is that All Non School going Children/ dropout children should receive quality education in an inclusive environment across Government Schools and the families from Nihal community in selected 10 – 11 villages should be linked with all flagship Social Security programmes of Government.

AARAMBH is seeking a Counsellor in the Dewas district with special support to focus in treating children with emotional, behavioral, educational, mental disorders. Counsellor should have good communication skill in dealing with system to enroll Non School going and Drop out Children to School’s admission Programme in coordination.

Counsellor will helpful to:

• Children who find it difficult to manage with their emotions

• Children who be unsuccessful to acquire social skills

• Children who have experienced bereavement through family crisis

• Children who have experienced abuse within or outside the family

• Children with anxiety, low self-esteem or depression

• Children whose behaviours are potentially life threatening or behavioural problems

• Children who face problems in school settings/environment

Financial and HR Responsibilities

1. Ensure timely reporting of programmatic activities and data

2. Monitor and verify children performance on a monthly/quarterly basis and submit report to the Project Coordinator, Director & CFO

3. Check and verify project team monthly attendance, leave and the movement Register on a monthly basis.

4. Coordinate with Accounts team for the timely execution of the project and submission of activities related bill/vouchers and settlement of advances.

Safeguarding

• Ensure safeguarding principles are followed in programme implementation, training etc in coordination with Project Director.

• Ensure safeguarding documents, like policy, POSH policy, are shared and explained with all the parties (Partners, Vendors, and Suppliers etc.) in coordination with state programme leads.

Minimum qualification & transferable skills:

• Master’s degree in Social Work/ Counselling/, Rural Development, or relevant field.

• At least 5 to 6 years of relevant experience working with Programmes of a similar scope and scale.

• Demonstrated technical knowledge in Child Rights and Child Protection

• Experience in initiating, growing relationships and collaboration with diverse stakeholders including Govt. officials, district and sub district education department, teachers, community, civil society actors and the private sector.

• Must be willing to travel extensively to project sites and as per organisation needs.

• Good in Computer competency and good knowledge of working on Excel sheet

• Fluency in English and local language of the state posted, both written and oral essential.

Core competencies:

• Understanding of the Child Rights, Child Protection and education.

• Strong managerial skills including effective personnel management, adaptive management, coordination and decision-making.

• Team management, negotiation, training and coordination skills with knack of establishing partnerships.

• Understanding on educational processes and leveraging financial services

• Strong implementation, facilitation and consensus building skills.

Salary: Rs. 35,000/- PM including Travel cost up to the limit of Rs. 4,000/- PM
