Action for Food Production (AFPRO) is a socio-technical not for profit Organization working for the development of rural poor through effective natural resource management solutions. It is an “Organization of National Importance” duly notified by Government of India.

AFPRO having its Head Office at New Delhi requires Civil / Agriculture Engineer for its Regional Office in Bengaluru.

Qualification: Graduate in Agriculture /Civil Engineering with 5 - 7 years of experience or Post graduate with 4 – 5 years’ experience. Well versed with Water, Watershed related projects, WASH etc. etc. and experience in NRM related areas would be an added advantage. Experience of working with reputed NPOs will be preferred.

Age: 30 – 35 years

Job Description

The candidate will be required to lead a multidisciplinary team for effective planning, execution and monitoring of projects related to NRM. An understanding of projects and policies related to Rural Development supported by Government, Corporate groups and international agencies

The above positions may require extensive travel to project locations.

Responsibilities

• Extending Socio-technical services for the effective implementation of Program/Projects related to Natural Resource Management
• Coordinating the activities of multidisciplinary team of professional staff for the services to partners.
• Program planning by involving various stakeholders based on the regional needs.
• Conducting Joint Monitoring and Review exercises of the ongoing projects
• Program Management and conducting Evaluations
• Networking/coordination/liaison with Government/Development agencies in the region for promotion of the programs
• Preparation of project proposals for submission to funding agencies

Skills Required :

• The applicant should be able to make project proposals, design details of the structure, cost estimate, etc.
• The applicant must be mature, good public relations, team building, resilient and motivated; excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Good communication and presentation skills both in English and Hindi
• Excellent computer skills in the respective field.
