Overview

Child in Need Institute (CINI) is a national level organization that aims to promote ‘sustainable development in education, protection, health and nutrition - of child, adolescent and woman in need’. Child In Need Institute is headquartered in Kolkata (Calcutta) and operating in -West Bengal, Jharkhand, Odisha, Assam and North East States. CINI has been involved in several major community development focused projects in India since 1974, driving at the underlying social causes of poverty. CINI focuses primarily on the issues of health, nutrition, education and protection of women, children and adolescents in collaboration with the Government of Indian/State Government, UN Agencies, Corporates and other local and international development partners.

Position: Accounts Officer (1) in Guwahati, Assam

Job responsibility:
• Development of project accounting system for monitoring of the project activities.
• Provides financial information to management by researching and analysing accounting data; preparing reports as & when required
• Document financial transactions by entering data in Tally Software, following the CINI accounting policy guidelines.
• Reconcile the Bank balances on monthly basis.
• Provides necessary support in all Audits, ( statutory, internal & donor audits)
• Maintains accounting controls in coordination with HO and secures financial information by completing database backups.
• Prepares payments by verifying documentation, and requesting funds disbursements from HO.
• Complying with all legal requirements of TDS, ESI, EPF, PT etc.
• Maintenance of all bills, Vouchers & subsidiary financial records as needed.
• Protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.
• Timely Donor Reporting
• And other Miscellaneous works as given by supervisor or Management.

Qualification & Experience: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in tax, accounting, or finance with minimum 3-5 years’ experience in accounting/finance, financial reporting requirements and preparing account statements. Working experience in NGO Sector & understanding of FCRA rules is desired.

Languages: Excellent written and spoken command of English, Hindi and Assamese is preferred

CTC: Rs 30000/ to Rs35000/ per month (Based on qualification, competency & experience )
