About the Organization:  Disha- A Resource Center for Multiple Disabilities is a Jaipur based not for profit organisation, founded in 1995 with a vision to educate, enable and uplift children and young adults with disabilities. Disha has pioneered the special needs education movement in Rajasthan by providing varied and comprehensive rehabilitation services under one roof. For over 25 years we have been working with the single aim of paving a path for our children to become equally participating voices in mainstream society. We strive to access the learning and education rights of individuals with multiple disabilities and their families. Disha is involved in lifespan activities including * early intervention, education, * assessments, * work and employment, *sports coaching* independent living, * teacher’s training,* parental assistance as well as * awareness, * advocacy and * research.

Disha Foundation works through its its different wings:

Center for Special Education(CSE) is a school for children with multiple disabilities

Academics Wing is affiliated with Rajasthan University and  runs 3 B.Ed and D.Ed level courses certified from Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) and National Institute for Empowerment of Persons with Multiple Disabilities (NIEPMD)

The Jeypore School (TJS) is a new age upcoming school for children with Specific Learning Disorder

Vacancy Note                                                                                                      Location: Jaipur, Rajasthan

We are looking for Asst.Professors and trained Special Educators, to join our team at Disha Foundation. All the positions are full- time.

Position : Assistant Professor(LD/ID), Location_ Jaipur

Role Demand:

• Teaching the university prescribed syllabus to B. Ed (SLD)using offline online methods for theory and practical classes
•  Preparing for and conducting exams. Copy check, provide valuable feedback to answer sheet , maintain mark sheets and enter marks on portals
• Handling end to end admission process- Providing inputs for prospectus, answering admission queries, interviewing candidates, fee deposit coordination
• University /RCI relations and coordination work - Affiliation, permissions, exam coordination etc.
• Conference, Webinar and CRE work - Proposing, designing and organizing. Report writing
• Research and Development - Writing research papers, presenting papers in national international conferences
  

Required Qualification & Experience

• RCI certified M.Ed. in Special Education with minimum teaching experience of one year
• Good knowledge of computer applications is a must. Having worked on any LMS will be an added advantage
• Proficiency in English/Hindi language on spoken and written level
  

Position: Special Educator, Location_ Jaipur

As a special educator at The Jeypore School you will be working with a dynamic team of special educators, counselors, therapists and team leaders who are benchmarking the Learning Disability education in India.

Role Demand:

• Develop IEP and implement an instructional, therapeutic, or skill development program for each student assigned.Maintain the record of students' learnings
• Conduct assessment of student learning styles and use results to plan for instructional activities
•  communicate with parents on a regular basis and conduct ongoing assessments of student achievement through formal and informal testing.
  

Required Qualification & Experience

• Recognised degree / diploma in special education field. RCI certified educators will be given preference.
• Proven experience in dealing with children with special needs
• Good knowledge of computer applications is a must. Having worked on any LMS will be an added advantage
• Proficiency in English/Hindi language on spoken and written level.
