Positions Overview:

The position of Finance officer is based at Jaipur administrative office of the organization where the person will be working as a part of the finance team under close guidance and supervision of the Finance Manager. The person will be responsible for maintaining books of accounts as per the guidance. The person will be mainly responsible for ensuring all accounting procedure as stated in the finance policy of the organization and recommendations of the external evaluating and auditing agencies.

Role and Responsibilities:

Accounting:

• Maintenance of records related to bookkeeping, expenses, funds, partnership ventures, that are at all times accurate, substantiated and up to date.
• Voucher entry in the tally as guided by the Finance Manager.
• Reconcile bank statements
• Update internal systems with financial data
• Maintenance of adequate financial reporting in accordance with government regulations for FCRA and Income Tax rules.
• Issue of staff and program related reimbursements in a timely manner and in accordance with guidelines set by the organization.
• TDS calculation, remittance and preparation for quarterly return.
• Maintenance of various registers such as Salary, Fixed Assets Register etc. (separate registers for FCRA and General if necessary – with required information.

Budget tracking:

• Keep track and regularly update of project budgets
• tracking tool;
• Provide support to budget holders as necessary;

Financial reporting:

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports
• Help prepare monthly reports for the Chief Executive / director, quarterly accounts for the Board and annual accounts for the members;
• Preparing financial reports as per the set deadlines and sending them to the concerned support agencies and government of India.

Audit process:

• Support Head of Finance during various audit process

Requirement:

Candidate should have a Master’s degree in Commerce / MBA Finance with graduation in Commerce from a recognized university. The candidate should have minimum 5 years of working experience in an NGO performing the described roles and responsibilities. The specific requirements are as follows:

• Proven work experience as an Accounts Officer or similar role
• Solid knowledge of financial and accounting procedures
• Experience using financial software: Tally latest version
• Advanced MS Excel skills
• Knowledge of financial regulations
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills
• Sharp time management skills
• Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data
• Professional qualification is considered a plus

Nature of Employment:

The selected candidate will have the opportunity to get associated with the organization for a minimum period of two years, which may be extended depending on the satisfactory performance and subject to availability of resources and continuity of the projects.

Compensation Offered:
CTC offered for the position shall range from Rs. 3,60,000/- to Rs. 4,20,000/- yearly. The offer made to the selected candidate shall be commensurate with qualifications, experience and salary history.
