Technology Associate (IT and Database)

Vest-in-Villages is an IIT-Madras incubated social enterprise, working on providing an easy-to-use and scalable risk scoring and tracking digital tool which can be widely used for providing credit to underserved rural communities. We are looking for a smart, self-motivated Technology Analyst for a Cloud Based Platform to join a motivated founder team as their primary technology leader.

Job Description: This position reports to the Promoters and interfaces with the directors of the company. We are looking for a Technology Analyst who would double in as Analytics Manager and Database Administrator. You would be responsible for maintaining the data on a hosted server, address the issues in migration of the database server, ensure security of the database, and also to organize our analytics function and manage our team technology vendors and staff.
Responsibilities:
• As a Technical Analyst/Lead you will:
o Design, develop and/or maintain all aspects of the cloud-based software platform
o Configure and install software, servers, routers and other network devices
o Collaborate with stakeholders on software and technical issues
o Act as technical expert for coding, process and best practices and effectively communicate this to internal and external development teams
o Demonstrate significant judgement in technical matters and act on solutions under own guidance
o Provide support in clarifying and resolving emerging integration issues
o Provide proactive and reactive data management support and training to users
o Monitor performance, implement changes and apply new patches and versions when required
o Create, oversee and test security measures
o Maintain complete technical documentation
• As a team member you will:
o Efficiently use your communication, teamwork, analysis and decision making skills in an Agile environment
o Provide support in clarifying and resolving emerging integration issues

Requirements
• Undergraduate degree (BE or BSc) in computer science or Electronics, MCA would be an added advantage.
• 1 to 3 years proven experience in software development, ideally with exposure to elements of our front-end (Android Java 1.8, SQLite and Android Studio) and back-end technology stack (PhP, MySQL, Python, .net, C#. AWS, and Relational Databases)
• Experience working with Amazon Web Services, Microservices, API development
• Excellent knowledge and familiarity of data backup, recovery, security, integrity, database design, documentation and coding
• Knowledge of testing tools for cloud stack, knowledge of test strategy (Unit, Integration etc)
• Experience using GitHub and GitHub Actions
• Proven ability to work as part of cross functional delivery teams in an Agile delivery environment
• Ability to analyze and solve problems.
• Excellent communication and team working skills
• Experience on Security Related like encryption, Authentication etc, and in implementing, reviewing, strengthening new or existing deployments from Security standpoint
• Monitor and track issues, bugs and work plan of technical vendors using JIRA and other tracking tools and provide timely reports on status to the management
