Position Title: Executive- Community Engagement & Eco System Support

Function: Resource Mobilisation

Level I3, Executive

Position Reports to Head, Resource Mobilisation Strategy

Supervises NA

Location: Bangalore

Purpose: The Executive Community Engagement & Eco System Support is responsible for identifying fundraising opportunities at the location level, writing effective proposals, and supporting all engagement efforts specifically in and around Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. This position plays an instrumental role in expanding the fundraising source pool close to implementation locations through
diligent market study and intelligent positioning of CMCAs programs.

1. Support development the of resource mobilization strategy, annual plans, and processes
• Build a good understanding of CMCAs programs and each location focuses on South India region
• Actively participate in planning activities for the year including arriving at targets and goals
• Support in developing quality processes, trackers, documentation guidelines, etc; Ensure adherence to the same
• Active participation
• Process adherence

2. Business Development and Pre-sales focused on South India regions

• Deeply study the market and create a database of prospective donors including
local industries, SMEs, wealthy entrepreneurs/ HNIs based in the area,
Rotary and other clubs etc.

• Coordinate with local program teams and work together to identify levers to help build quality connections with each organization/ individual

• Work with other key stakeholders at the local level (eg. Volunteers, Schools) to take forward conversations

• Work with Program Managers to create quality proposals matching prospective
donors to programs/ themes of interest

• Work with the Communications domain to develop collaterals and other sales support materials

• Support in establishing relationships, scheduling meetings, attending the meeting, and taking minutes

• Represent CMCA in donor forums, meetings, etc., and front-end marketing
pitches when necessary

• Develop and communicate quality proposals and ensure timely follow-up;
coordinate and provide any additional information/ resources etc to help close
and convert opportunities

• Number of leads generated

• Number of meetings/ calls attended

• Conversion rates

• Contribution to the fundraising targets of the RM Team

3. Donor Management and Engagement

• Work with Sr. Executive resource Mobilization and Finance team to support
in creating budgets and reports for each donor

• Track and manage donations using appropriate tools

• Ensure regularly personalized connections with all donor POCs including greetings and wishes etc.

• Work with program teams to create and implement engagement opportunities and
events for donors

• Work with the Communications team to implement a communication plan including
update reports, the impact of programs, and other key updates etc.

• Donor contributions and rate of change over time

• Donor Feedback and Engagement levels

• Timeliness and quality of stewardship efforts

4. Capacity Building • Research and keep up to date on new thinking, trends, issues, pertaining to donor management, stakeholder motivation, creative fundraising campaigns, governance and stewardship etc

• Obtain feedback on performance, identify improvement areas and work on self
improvement

• Build skills required to improve job performance eg. Networking &Influencing,
Project Management, Communication, etc

• Participation in domain brainstorming

• Continuous learning and improvement efforts

5. Contribute to Organization Initiatives

• Support organization initiatives and contribute to management and operational
areas as needed (eg. participation in recruitment/ induction, participation in
events, team building, etc)

• Contribution levels

Person Profile:

Education Background min Graduate in any discipline

Years of experience 2-4 years of relevant experience would be advantageous

Industry Exposure: • 1-2 years experience in fundraising or marketing
in the social sector would be beneficial

Type of Experience: • Experience in a similar role would be ideal

• Experience in B2B sales would be an advantage

• Excellent communication skills in English is essential

• Verbal fluency in Kannada and/ or Tamil would be an added advantage

• Networking and influencing skills are mandatory
