Role: Cluster Associate

Location of Job: Aizawl, Mizoram

Duration of the contract: 2 years as Full Time Consultant

Brief About Foundation for MSME Clusters

Established in June 2005, the Foundation for MSME Clusters (FMC) www.fmc.org.in specializes in the promotion of MSMEs through cluster and value chain led development. FMC was promoted as a Registered Public Charitable Trust with the technical support of a then UNIDO Cluster Development Programme, in June 2005. It is governed by a very eminent Board of Trustees from the Government, Banks, Academia, Donor institutions and NGOs. FMC undertakes all its operations in line with its vision and mission that are given as under:

In India, FMC has worked with around 200 MSME clusters, undertaken studies/research in another 150 MSME clusters and worked with 250 Business Membership Organizations (BMOs) thus benefiting more than 100,000 MSMEs across different sectors and sizes. FMC and its experts have also provided training, handholding, and research on cluster development in 16 other countries across the globe.

Key Responsibilities of Cluster Associate (NDA)

1. Anchor Institution Engagement and Trust Building

• Assist in identifying and engaging with anchor institutions and responsible for developing linkages with associations and principle firms

2. Diagnostic Mapping and Action Plan Formulation:

• Conducting survey of stakeholders with the support of Cluster Manager

• Consulting Anchor Institution and other stakeholders to provide necessary inputs for preparation of action plan

3. Action Plan Implementation:

• Making repository of relevant BDSPs for each thematic area and help cluster manager in selection of preferred bidder for each activity.

• Responsible for selection of beneficiaries in consultation with anchor institution for each activity and ensuring their participation

• Responsible for collection of attendance sheets, feedback forms from beneficiaries of each activity

4. Communication Liaison:

• Ensure effective and timely communication of relevant information to all stakeholders.

5. Monitoring & Evaluation:

• Collaborate with the Cluster Manager in collecting data and information for weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports on cluster progress and challenges.

• Filing of all the documents and ensuring their presence in office.

• Providing necessary inputs for case studies/ success stories to Cluster Manager.

• Support cluster manager in preparation of any presentations for attending review meetings/ seminars

6. Exit Phase:

• Maintaining all the documents and assets for handover to Anchor Institution as per SIDBI Instructions.

• Collecting necessary data and providing necessary support in preparation of End of Project Report and road map.

Qualification & Experience Required:

• B. Tech / B.E. / MBA or equivalent Postgraduate in Management / CA / ICWA / Post Graduate Degree in Economics/Commerce (including relevant branches /streams of Economics) / Statistics / Quantitative Techniques / Data Science / designing/ Development studies

• Minimum 3 years of work experience with subject knowledge and at least 1 year of experience in cluster (at field level).

Salary Offered: Rs 50,000/- per month inclusive of all applicable taxes.
