About Sri Aurobindo Society: The Sri Aurobindo Society is a spiritual, cultural, and educational organization dedicated to the teachings and vision of Sri Aurobindo and his spiritual collaborator, The Mother (Mirra Alfassa). Sri Aurobindo (1872-1950) was an Indian philosopher, yogi, poet, and nationalist who played a significant role in India's struggle for independence from British rule. The Mother (1878-1973) was a French-born spiritual leader who became Sri Aurobindo's spiritual collaborator and later established the Sri Aurobindo Ashram in Puducherry, India.

The Sri Aurobindo Society was founded in 1960 with the aim of promoting Sri Aurobindo's vision of integral yoga, which seeks to integrate all aspects of life—physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual—into a harmonious whole.
