MAMTA HIMC is implementing a project with a focus on improved Mother and Child Health outcomes amongst the rural population in Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan in support of CSR agency. Currently, MAMTA-HIMC is looking for a suitable candidate in the capacity of Regional Manager for the successful implementation of the project. Female candidates are encouraged to apply.

Job Description/Responsibilities:

The Regional Manager is a middle-level management position. The person will primarily be responsible for the implementation of health intervention project in the targeted geography under the direction of the Assistant Director, MAMTA. Broadly, this will include team management, financial management, training & and capacity building, stakeholders and donor management, technological innovation, data quality maintenance, support documentation, monitoring, and reporting.

Key responsibilities:

• Human resource management:

Maintain the database of the project staff and coordinate with the HR team from time to time for HR management. Effective coordination with the project team and providing technical support and guidance in planning, implementing and reporting various project activities. Training and capacity building of staff.

• Financial management:

Monitor and manage the financial component of the project in coordination with the finance team. Managing procurement procedures according to organisational norms.

• Implementation:

Manage the project effectively by preparing work plans, monitoring the progress of project activities, having regular review meetings with staff, and identifying the bottlenecks in implementation and possible solutions for successful outputs and outcomes.

• Documentation and reporting:

Develop capacity-building modules and innovative training materials/case studies/tools etc. as per the requirement of the project. Writing reports on a monthly or quarterly basis and timely submission to concerned authorities including case stories.

• Data management:

Work in close coordination MIS team for ensuring excellent data quality and analysis using result based management framework.

• Liaising and coordination:

Develop effective liaison with district and block health officials, donors and other stakeholders is very important for program implementation, seek potential solutions and gain successful outcomes.

• Willingness to work in challenging geographical locations and undertake field visits at regular intervals.

• Perform other duties time to time according to project and organisational needs.

Qualification and experience:

Bachelor’s in Medical degree (BDS/BHMS/BAMS) and Masters in public health. Candidates with three or more years of experience working in managerial roles in MCH-related programs/ experience of working in public health department at the district or state level under NHM will be given preference.

Experience of research will be an asset.

Competencies:

• Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)

• Excellent documentation/report writing skills.

• Written and verbal fluency in English.

• Verifiable skills in Human Resource management.

• Capacity building & training skills

• Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, PP)

• Data management and analytical skills (M&E)

Salary:

Salary will be commensurate with the previous drawn salary, qualification, and experience.
