Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Education Researcher specialising in Education Management to lead and contribute to research on education governance, leadership, and school management.

This role focuses on understanding and improving school leadership, policy implementation, resource allocation, and systemic education reforms.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and conduct large-scale research studies on education management, governance, and policy effectiveness.

Develop innovative research methodologies to assess the impact of school leadership, administrative processes, and education policy on student learning.

Collaborate with school leaders, teachers, and field academic staff to design and implement innovative solutions for school management and administration.

Work closely with government agencies, education policymakers, and NGOs to develop and refine evidence-based policies.

Lead a team of researchers, manage research projects, and secure funding through grant proposals.

Produce high-quality research reports, policy briefs, and academic publications.

Engage in national and international education forums to share findings and best practices.

Complementing research, the role requires working closely with school leaders, teachers, and field academic staff to implement and evaluate innovative management strategies. The researcher will actively engage with schools to test, refine, and scale education management interventions, ensuring that research findings are applied effectively in practice.

Qualifications & Experience:

Ph.D. or equivalent in Education Leadership, Education Policy, Public Administration, or a related field.

Significant experience in education management research, with a strong publication record.

Expertise in quantitative and qualitative research methods, including impact evaluations and policy analysis.

Proven ability to work on large-scale, system-wide education research projects.

Experience in working directly with school leaders, teachers, and academic staff to implement and evaluate school management strategies.

Strong analytical skills and experience with statistical tools such as Stata, R, or Python.

Ability to translate research into policy and institutional reforms.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with government agencies, NGOs, or multilateral organisations on education system reform.

Knowledge of school leadership training programs and education finance models.

Experience in securing research funding from international and national sources.
