Purpose of job :
The incumbent will be responsible for the field operations of the livelihood programme of OLA Foundation. The role requires understanding of local livelihood gaps, women livelihood needs and community needs. She/he is expected to work directly with the community to implement the Social and Health Entrepreneur (SHE) livelihood programme activities of the OLA Foundation, this includes community need assessments, community mobilization, identifying local women to become Social and Health Entrepreneur in their community, capacity building of local women for livelihood activities. The incumbent should also assist in designing and conducting research studies, data collection, field work. She/he should also be assisting in building budget estimates for program implementation and other projects.
She/he will have to conduct regular and annual evaluations and implement new strategies as per need of the program and also assist in writing reports and manuscripts.
Key Roles/Responsibilities:
1. Ensure successful implementation, quality and consistency of OLA Foundation’s Livelihood Programs
2. Identification and selection of Social & Health Entrepreneurs (SHE)
3. Identify the training needs of the Social & Health Entrepreneurs (SHE)
Support Social & Health Entrepreneurs (SHE) to implement the programme in the field
4. Organise the training and orientation programs, both offline and online for the Social & Health Entrepreneurs (SHE)
5. Participate in the delivery of the training
6. Collecting Feedback videos from community members & stakeholders of OLA Foundation initiatives
7. Work with research team and facilitate impact studies
Manage relations with Community members, AWW teachers, ASHA workers, SHG groups, community influencers and Health administrators of the assigned Territory
8. Hold periodic community meetings/ community mobilization events in assigned geography
9. Identify and manage relations with Local Government bodies & Government departments, NGOs/CBOs relevant to OLA Foundation’s program
10. Organising events and programs in consultation with relevant stakeholders
11. Provide timely, regular reports and manage ongoing feedback

Qualification & Essential skills required:
1. Masters in Social work in Community Mobilization/Organization and Development Practices/Sociology/Psychology or Bachelors in any discipline with 2 years of community work experience
2. 2-3 years of relevant experience in community development and practices, public health or livelihoods
3. Experience in working with other community-based organizations
4. Should have had hands on field experience
5. Motivated to work in remote areas and with the communities
6. Keen interest and ability to work with women & community members
7. Has skills for training and capacity building of SHE’s from community chosen for OF’s Program
8. Proficiency in English & Kannada
9. Willing to travel for field visits and stay in the community, as and when required
10. Flexibility in working hours based on community’s need
Prior exposure to community mobilization/internship experience in community mobilization
11. Good interpersonal and communication skills
12. Computer Skills: Spreadsheets, Power Point, Word, Emails, GSuite
Good at defining and implementing processes
13. Basic digital proficiency and ability to operate a smartphone
14. Has access to a two-wheeler and has a driving license (mandatory)
15. Should be a keen learner
16. Is a self-starter and a good team player
17. High level of integrity and accountability
