The head office of ASRA is in Dewas district of Madhya Pradesh.

About the Role:

The Rashtriya Kishor Swasthya Karyakram (RKSK) is a national program in India dedicated to the health and well-being of adolescents. RKSK aims to address the unique health needs of adolescents aged 10-19 years through a comprehensive approach that integrates health education, counselling, and service delivery. The program focuses on promoting healthy behaviours, preventing common health problems, and providing adolescent-friendly health services. RKSK emphasizes youth participation, gender equity, and community engagement to ensure the holistic development and empowerment of adolescents across the country.

The RKSK Program Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the implementation and coordination of activities under the Rashtriya Kishor Swasthya Karyakram (RKSK) in Dewas, Agar, Shajapur, Ratlam, Neemuch and Mandsaur. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in public health, experience working with adolescents, and proven project management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Program Planning and Implementation:

• Develop detailed work plans and budgets for RKSK activities in collaboration with stakeholders.

• Ensure the effective implementation of RKSK interventions, including health education, counselling, and service delivery.

• Monitor the progress of RKSK activities and adjust plans as necessary to achieve program objectives.

Stakeholder Engagement:

• Establish and maintain strong partnerships with government agencies, NGOs, schools, and community-based organizations involved in adolescent health.

• Coordinate with stakeholders to mobilize resources, advocate for adolescent health issues, and promote collaboration across sectors.

Capacity Building:

• Provide training and technical assistance to healthcare providers, educators, and community volunteers on adolescent-friendly health services and life skills education.

• Strengthen the capacity of local organizations to deliver RKSK interventions effectively and sustainably.

Monitoring and Evaluation:

• Develop monitoring and evaluation frameworks to assess the impact of RKSK activities on adolescent health outcomes.

• Collect and analyze data on program indicators, identify trends, and prepare regular reports for stakeholders.

• Use evaluation findings to inform programmatic decision-making and improve the quality of RKSK services.

Advocacy and Communication:

• Advocate for policies and programs that promote the health and well-being of adolescents at the local, state, and national levels.

• Develop communication materials and campaigns to raise awareness about adolescent health issues and RKSK interventions.

• Engage adolescents as partners in program design, implementation, and evaluation through youth-led initiatives and participation.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Master's degree in public health, social work, or a related field.

• At least 3 of experience working in adolescent health programs, preferably in a public health or NGO setting.

• Strong project management skills, including budgeting, planning, and monitoring.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.

• Knowledge of adolescent health policies and programs in India is desirable.
