Position Overview: Craft Manager oversees the team working with artisan and women’s handicraft cooperatives. Responsibilities include strategic planning, program execution, managing partnerships, and identifying funding opportunities. This role demands an understanding of the handicraft sector and strong business skills to refine cooperative strategies, aiming to expand market reach and support artisans' livelihoods.

Manager Craft (Women only)
Qualification & Experience:
An MBA degree, with any background. However, having experience in craft or collective enterprises will be an added advantage.
A minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience working with women groups such as Self-Help Groups (SHGs), Federations, Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), government projects, and cooperatives is necessary.
Skills:
Proficiency in English, Hindi, and Gujarati for effective communication, including understanding, reading, and writing.
Strong team management skills to lead and manage a team effectively.
Proficiency in MS Office for daily administrative and reporting tasks.
Result-oriented approach to meet and exceed project goals.
Leadership skills to guide the team and stakeholders towards achieving the federation's objectives.
Knowledge of Management Information Systems (MIS) for effective data management and analysis.
Responsibilities:
Team Management and Coordination:
Supervise and lead the team involved in craft-related projects within the organization.
Provide direct reports to the Programme Lead, ensuring regular communication on the team's activities, achievements, and challenges.
Strategic Planning:
Work closely with the craft team along with cooperatives and Enterprise Development Coordinator to develop and implement craft-related strategies.
Offer support and advice to team members to ensure effective execution of planned activities, focusing on the growth and sustainability of craft enterprises.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Liaise with craft cooperatives, external partners, government agencies, and other stakeholders to build strong relationships and secure support for projects.
Organize and strategize meetings with industry experts and artisans, utilizing their skills and networks to benefit the craft sector.
Design and Implementation:
Create detailed programs and strategies tailored to craft projects and initiatives, aiming to enhance the sector's development and impact.
Monitoring and Management:
Monitor progress on ongoing craft projects, collaborating with the Programme Lead to ensure their success and address any issues promptly.
Compliance and Reporting:
Produce all necessary documentation and data to fulfill compliance requirements for craft projects and programs.
Documentation and Reporting:
Compile comprehensive notes, briefings, and reports on meetings and project progress to keep all relevant stakeholders informed and engaged.
MIS and SOP Development:
Develop and maintain Management Information Systems (MIS) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) specifically for craft-related activities and projects.
Field Operations:
Undertake field visits at various levels (local, national, and international) as needed, to oversee and support craft projects and initiatives directly.
