Reporting to: Project Manager/Lead

Travel: 70% in the field

Level Of Contact With Children: 2 (Sporadic or occasional contact with children)

SUMMARY OF THE OVERALL JOB:

This position is responsible for the implementation of Project Shikshantar: Strengthening Continuity of Education and Improving Mental Wellbeing outcomes for children in Delhi-NCR, which includes the implementation of project activities as per guidance of Project Manager, rolling out filed level activities, networking and linkages with key stakeholders, government departments and PRIs at local level, timely utilisation of funds, achievement of project outputs and outcomes within the timelines defined in the project plan and submission of timely reports of the activities and monthly progress updates to project manager/lead.

KEY FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES:

• The job holder will be responsible for implementation of project under the themetic area Inclusive & Quality education (IQE) in close coordination with Project Manager/Lead

• Implementation of project activities such as awareness/orientation/training of parents, children and other stakeholders in target locations

• Facilitate program implementation team meeting

• Liasoning and linkages with various stakeholders and duty bearers.

• Create and update database of schemes/services of the government in education theme.

• Information dissemination session with the women workers in the factories on awareness generation on government schemes/services/legal entitlements/social security

• Facilitate application process of eligible/interested individuals/families for availing the government schemes/services

• Attend convergence meetings organized by government department

• Ensure timely utilisation of funds as per defined project timelines.

• Maintain and update MIS/project tracker

• Preparation and submission of activity and project reports as per stipulated timelines

• Provide any other support required by the line manager and as per the requirements of the organisation

• Documentation of case studies and best practices

• Support Project Manager/Lead in developing new proposals/ new concepts in the domain of IQE

• Support Project Manager/Lead in preparation of various project reports and documents

• Adherence to all Plan India’s Policies during program implementation.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Any Graduate. Post Graduate in Social Work/Development Management will be preferred.

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience of working in education or ECE themetic area

• Proficient in local language and willingness to travel

• Experience in usage of computer/tablets for data collection and basic report preparation

• Passionate to work with children, protecting Child Rights.
