RATI Foundation, a Mumbai-based organisation dedicated to combating violence against women and children is seeking a Junior Accountant to become a valuable addition to our team. As the Junior Accountant, you'll collaborate closely with the Accounts Manager, handling financial transactions, maintaining precise records, and offering administrative assistance to guarantee seamless office operations.

Education: Bachelors of Commerce and/or Masters of Commerce
Language requirement: English & Hindi. Fluency in Marathi (written & spoken)

Main Responsibilities:
1. Process and record financial transactions, including invoices, receipts, and payments.
2. Handle bank-related tasks like cheque deposits, cash withdrawals, and updating KYC documents.
3. Passing of Accounting entries in Tally or any other accounting software.
4. Assist the Accounts Manager in preparing financial statements and reports.
5. Provide general administrative support including managing office supplies and overseeing office maintenance.
6. Assist in the preparation of statutory audits and provide necessary documentation.
7. Ensure compliance with relevant financial and administrative policies and regulations.
Desirable Qualifications/Experience:
1. Must have a Bachelor of Commerce. A post-graduation degree or other certificate courses in accounting would be an advantage.
2. Zero to one year of experience. Previous experience of working with an NGO will be considered an asset.
3. Proficient in using Tally and other accounting software.
4. Must speak English, Marathi and Hindi & possess decent writing skills in English.
5. Be skilled in computer usage for filing, documentation and email-based communication.
Terms of Engagement:
1. This is a full-time position based in Mumbai with a salary range of ?20,000 to ?25,000 per month depending on experience and expertise.
2. Standard workweek (Monday to Friday), with occasional weekend or holiday work compensated accordingly.
