About the Organization: Indo-Global Social Service Society (IGSSS) is a not-for-profit development organization which was established in 1961 to support development Programmes across India especially to the vulnerable communities and grass root community-based organisations. IGSSS vision is of establishing a humane social order based on the tenets of equity, liberty, and justice in which the human rights and dignity of every individual is upheld.

IGSSS implements and support quality development programmes in 24 States and Two Union Territories in India to empower individuals and communities. Through its programmes on Sustainable Livelihood, Disaster Risk Reduction, Gender Equality, Urban Homeless and Youth Development, IGSSS has reached out to more than One Lakh families every year. The Programmes at IGSSS are targeted towards the poor, marginalized and vulnerable sections of the society with special emphasis on women and children.

Role Profile:

Data management and documentation of project progress and impact for effective monitoring and tracking of results as committed in the goat target sheet.

Key Job Responsibilities

• He/ She/ They must prepare and submit the monthly progress report in the P3 application.

• He/ She/ They must prepare and submit the outcome/ results in the Dhwani Application on quarterly basis.

• He/ She/ They must prepare a digital coffee table book for sharing in Parivartan group on monthly basis.

• He/ She/ They must manage the Organizational Reporting Systems as applicable for timely submission of quality reports to the supervisor.

• He/ She/ They must submit timely updates to the reporting officer on the overall project’s progress monthly.

• He/ She/ They must Contribute towards creating a knowledge base by process documenting all the activities and to highlight the major achievements and challenges of the project.

• He/ She/ They must document significant case studies and events and experiences of the community partners through regular field visits and participating in events.

• He/ She/ They must take a lead role in supporting the teachers in the operation of digital smart board installed in schools /colleges for digital learning as and when required by the schools’ authorities.

• He/ She/ They must act as state communication channels for weekly/monthly updates and media updates/press release on behalf of the state.

• He/ She/ They will be responsible for communicating with other consultants hired for video documentation or for any other communication tasks in consultation with the state coordinator.

• He/ She/ They must support the team in project implementation or independently implement project activities as and when required.

• He/ She/ They must take a leading role in organizing monthly meetings with the community volunteers and facilitate the timely reimbursement process of the volunteers.

• He/ She/ They must maintain the monthly/quarterly meeting minutes held in the state office and follow up with the team.

Required Skills and Competencies:

• Strong analytical skills for communication and information management.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Assamese

• Competency and proficiency in internet research, communication, and networking. Computer skills to produce effective reports, documents, and presentations.

• Strong computer skills, at least in MS Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• More than 02 years of work experience in a communications or information role in the development or humanitarian sector.

• Experience in writing and disseminating information to a variety of audiences, including the public, donor agencies, websites, and social media and for technical audiences.

• Ability to understand and synthesize program information for non-technical audiences.

• Ability to creatively communicate development issues, and networking and relationship building skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, program participants and partner agencies.

• Adept with software and platforms that facilitate virtual conferences like Google-meet, Zoom, Cisco Webex etc.

Qualification & Experience:

• Master’s Degree in any stream, preferably master’s in social work, journalism, communication, media with at least 2 years of experience.

• Understanding of different communication and engagement tools (online and offline)

• The person should have experience of working with various computer applications like Excel, Access, SPSS and other data management or research applications. The person should have good documentation skills in English language.

Remuneration/Package/Benefits: Remuneration / Package / Benefits: Maximum limit up to 35000/- per month CTO based on experience and overall fit including PF as per law. In addition - range of benefits including medical insurance, personal accident insurance, and opportunities for further personal development.
