About Calcutta Foundation:

Calcutta Foundation through its flagship program Apni Kutir, aims to support women in every step of their journeys towards financial independence through three major verticals: skilling & literacy, individual development, and community building. We have 11 centers running, currently, which operate across West Bengal and Bihar. Young girls and women enroll in several different skills development classes at the centres, including tailoring, beauty and wellness training, and digital literacy. Through our programs, we employ a 360-degree approach to supporting women in every aspect of their journeys to financial independence. The Kutirs are built to bring the world to our women, and connect our women to the world - a platform through which we can bring them opportunities and experiences that they never before have.

We have multiple vacancies in our Kharagpur Location. The positions are as follows:

Center Coordinator-1:

Roles & Responsibilities

Qualification

1. Must be a graduate

2. Proficiency in computer applications and learning management systems

3. Writing skills in English and workable speaking skills

4. Preferably woman

5. Organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Job description

1. Develop, implement, and evaluate vocational training programs.

2. Oversee student recruitment, enrollment, and orientation processes.

3. Provide guidance and support to students throughout their training programs.

4. Monitor student progress, address concerns, and implement interventions to support student success.

5. Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment for the staff.

6. Maintain accurate records of student enrollment, attendance, and academic progress.

7. Prepare reports and documentation of the center.

8. The person will be a trainer of the computer course in the Center.

9. Will be able to conduct or organize a small workshop or events for the betterment of the women and community.

Sewing Trainer- 1

Qualification -

1. Know about sewing and how to teach it.

2. Be friendly and patient.

3. Understand how to use sewing machines and other equipment.

4. Like helping people learn new things.

5. It's a plus if you've had training or certification in teaching sewing.

6. Preferably woman

Roles and responsibility

1. Teach Sewing:

* Show people how to sew, whether it's one-on-one or in groups.

* Start with the basics and move on to more advanced skills.

* Teach them how to use sewing machines and do different types of cuts and stitches of dress.

2. Give Feedback:

* Watch how people sew and help them get better.

* Give them tips and encouragement to improve their skills.

3. Learn and Improve:

* Stay up-to-date on new sewing trends and techniques.

* Take part in training to become an even better teacher.

4. Keep Records:

* Keep track of who's learning and how they're doing.

* Share updates with your team about what's working and what needs to improve.

Beauty Trainer- 1

Qualification:

1. Know about the Beautician course and how to teach it.

2. Be friendly and patient.

3. Understand how to use sewing machines and other equipment.

4. Like helping people learn new things.

5. It's a plus if you've had training or certification in teaching sewing.

6. Preferably woman

Roles & Responsibilities:

*Teaching Skills: Show people how to do beauty stuff like makeup, hair styling, and nail care.

* Checking Progress: Watch how well they're doing and help them get better.

* Making Sure Things are Clean: Teach about keeping everything clean and safe.

* Knowing About Products: Teach about different makeup, hair products, and tools.

* Talking to Clients: Teach how to talk nicely with people who come for beauty services.

* Learning New Stuff: Keep learning about new trends and techniques in beauty.

* Being Honest and Professional: Teach to always be honest and act professionally.

* Keeping Records: Write down how well people are doing and what they've learned.

* Listening to Feedback: Listen to what people say about the training and make it better.

* Helping Even After Training: Keep helping even after they finish training, so they can succeed in their jobs.
