About Sshrishti Trust:

Sshrishti first started in 2003 in the living room of its founder, Ms. Sanghamitra Bose, providing informal education to 50 – 60 children daily and functioned there for almost a year. Sshrishti, which means creation, was registered as a trust on 15th December 2003. Today, Sshrishti is a credible NGO enjoying accreditation from both within India and abroad including Guidestar, Give India and Charities Aid Foundation. Sshrishti is a highly transparent organization that aligns itself with international norms of good governance, as evidenced by our 2010 recognition as the Best Small NGO in North India by Resource Alliance and Rockefeller Foundation and making it to the top four finalists at the India NGO Awards by EdelGive Foundation and Rockefeller Foundation.

In 2018, Gray Matters Capital (India), an independent agency for measuring learning outcomes, graded Sshrishti’s academic performance much higher than that of government schools pan-India.

Vacancy: Director – Fund Raising

Job Summary:

As the rector – Resource Mobilisation and Growth Management of our esteemed NGO, you will play a pivotal role in leading and guiding our organization's efforts in mobilising resource to support the core activities in the areas of foundational learning, digital literacy, and skill building for underserved children/youth in India. You will be responsible for sustainability and growth of the organisation. Your responsibilities will include, driving strategic initiatives, building partnerships, and ensuring the organization's overall growth and impact.

Key Responsibility Areas:

Resource Mobilisation

• Ideal Candidate should have at least 08-15 years of experience in leading teams and generating funds for the organisation, using his existing network and by creating new ones. The candidate is expected to scale up the organisation in all possible ways and must have knowledge of all avenues of raising funds for the organisation and directing and leading the team to achieve the desired target.

Strategic Leadership

• Develop and implement a clear strategic vision for the organization in alignment with its mission and objectives.

• Lead and inspire a dedicated team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.

• Set ambitious goals and objectives, and monitor progress towards achieving organizational targets.

Program Design and Development

• Advise the team on project design as per the requirements of the donor agencies and showcase the same to the prospective donors. Oversee the design, development, and implementation of high-quality edtech-based programs focused on foundational learning, digital literacy, and skill building for underserved youth.

• Ensure programs are effective, impactful, and aligned with the organization's mission.

• Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to continually enhance program content and delivery methodologies.

Partnership and Resource Mobilization

• Identify, cultivate, and foster partnerships with government agencies, educational institutions, NGOs, corporates, and other relevant stakeholders.

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with donors, sponsors, and funding organizations to secure financial resources for program sustainability and growth.

• Seek opportunities for collaboration, knowledge sharing, and joint initiatives with key stakeholders in the field.

Financial Management

• Oversee the organization's financial operations, ensuring transparency, accountability, and compliance with relevant regulations.

• Develop and manage the annual budget, making strategic financial decisions to maximize impact.

• Provide guidance and support to operational teams, ensuring smooth functioning and effective utilization of resources.

Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning

• Establish robust monitoring and evaluation mechanisms to assess the impact and effectiveness of programs and communicate the same to the donors.

• Collect and analyze data, generate insights, and use evidence-based findings to drive program improvements and informed decision-making.

• Regularly report on program outcomes and impact to the board, donors, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications and Skills:

• A master's degree in a relevant field (e.g. Nonprofit Management, Business Administration).

• Proven experience (at least 08-15 years) in a leadership role with exposure to the civil society eco system and its challenges.

• Strong understanding of the Indian education landscape, particularly with regard to foundational learning and edtech solutions.

• Proven track record of Business Development, signing new donors for the organization and generating funds for the organization.

• Experience in resource mobilization, including fundraising, grant writing, and donor relationship management.

• Exceptional leadership abilities with a passion for social impact and the ability to inspire and motivate teams.

• Excellent communication, networking, and stakeholder management skills.

• Sound financial acumen and experience in managing budgets.

• Familiarity with monitoring and evaluation methodologies and data-driven decision-making.

• Ability to navigate complex partnerships and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

• Preference would be given to candidates from not-for-profit organizations.

Remuneration: Negotiable (will depend on experience and expertise but would be fixed salary plus handsome incentives).
