Job Description

This position is for Field Coordinator for RGVN’s Child Rights and Protection Project for affected children in disaster prone areas of four villages namely Tehrasiya, Chaunkiya,Saraipur and Litiyahin of Raghopur block of Vaishali district ,Bihar. He/She will assist the Programme Manager in managing and coordinating the KNH project's second phase. The candidate will work closely with the Programme Director to support project implementation.

Responsibilities:

1. Project Coordination: Collaborate with the Programme Director, Manager and the field staff to oversee and manage project-related activities effectively. Conduct progammes and capacity building sessions for Children’s Parliaments and Clubs in line with predetermined timelines.

2. Field Operations Management: Supervise field activities and ensure timely implementation of project plans, Monitor field staff performance and provide regular feedback and support. Coordinate logistics, resources, and materials required for field operations. Travel to field locations as required by the project.

3. Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain relationships with government functionaries at various levels to facilitate smooth project execution. Engage with diverse stakeholders, including government officials, local self-governance bodies, communities, and teachers to promote collaboration and garner support. Promote child rights through engagement with district officials and by organizing meetings with children’s clubs, parliaments, and other stakeholders.

4. Report Preparation: Assist the Programme Manager in compiling comprehensive reports to document project progress and outcomes.

5. Data Collection and Monitoring: Lead surveys and gather data to support the project's monitoring and evaluation efforts. Collaborate with the Programme Director, Manager and the field staff to ensure effective monitoring and evaluation of field activities, making necessary adjustments as required.

Qualifications:

- Graduate degree in Social Work or relevant fields.

- Experience in community and child protection projects is a plus.

- Good communication skills.

- Ability to work with diverse stakeholders.

- Basic report writing and data management skills.

- Commitment to child rights and social justice.

Location: Patna, Bihar (will require travel to field locations in Vaishali district, Bihar as per project requirements)

Renumeration: Rs. 20000/- Per month exclusive of Travel Allowances
