Position: Monitoring, learning and Documentation Officer
Purpose of the Job: Designing and implementing M&E frameworks, including developing indicators, data collection tools, and systems for tracking progress and measuring impact.
Location: Dhenkanal, Odisha
Key Responsibilities:
Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E): Proficiency in designing and implementing M&E frameworks, including
developing indicators, data collection tools, and systems for tracking progress and measuring impact.
Data Analysis: Strong analytical skills to analyze quantitative and qualitative data, interpret findings, and
generate actionable insights to inform decision-making and program improvement.
Learning and Knowledge Management: Ability to facilitate learning sessions, workshops, and reflection
meetings to promote organizational learning and knowledge sharing among staff, CBOs and other
stakeholders.
Documentation and Reporting: Skill in documenting project activities, outcomes, and lessons learned
through written reports, case studies, success stories, and other communication materials.
Capacity Building: Experience in providing training and technical assistance to staff and CBOs on M&E
methodologies, data collection techniques, and documentation best practices.
Information Management: Ability to manage and maintain databases, repositories, and online platforms for
storing and accessing project-related information and documentation.
Presentation and Communication Skills: Effective presentation skills to communicate M&E findings,
learning outcomes, and best practices to internal and external stakeholders in clear, concise, and engaging
formats.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to identify trends, patterns, and correlations in monitoring data, and
to draw meaningful conclusions to inform programmatic decisions and strategic planning.
Team Cohesion Abilities: Capacity to work collaboratively with project teams, CBOs, and other stakeholders
to integrate M&E activities into project planning and implementation, and to foster a culture of learning
and accountability within the organization.
Experience:
Total work experience more than 5 Years.
2-3 years in Monitoring and Evaluation roles desirable.
Experience in Fund raising for Not-for-profit organization will be an added advantage.
Age: Less than 45 Years.
kills & Knowledge:
Must Have
• Bachelor's degree in statistics/M. Com/ MBA/MSW/MA Rural development preferred.
• 3+ years of progressive experience with a portion of it being in a supervisory role in program
management, preferably in the development/NGO sector
Relevant experience of project cycle management and designing and implementing of M&E Tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities (Odiya & English is must) across all level of an
organization
• Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results
• Commitment to the organization's mission and values, with a passion for driving positive change in
rural communities.
Desirable
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and negotiate
effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience in resource mobilization, including grant writing, donor relations, and budget
management.
• Demonstrated expertise in project management, monitoring and evaluation, and data-driven
decision-making.
• Familiarity with government programs and policies related to rural development and community
empowerment.
• Knowledge of employee relationship building and performance management techniques
• Strong strategic planning and analytical skills, with the ability to translate vision into actionable
plans and measurable outcomes.
• Experience in use of PRA Tools, Data collection, survey, Family counselling and group work.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Experience with other data analysis tools.
Salaries Offered: Approximately, the monthly salary range is between 32-35K, depending on your experience and skills.
