Designation/Position: ESP & Advocacy Manager

Organisation: AIACA

Reporting Manager: Functionally and administratively to ED

Qualification: Postgraduate in Social Work, Rural Development, Rural Management, Social Entrepreneurship, Marketing, public relations, MBA, or any other relevant field.

Candidates with other qualifications but strong relevant experience and profile will also be considered.

Year of experience: 3+ years of experience of working in development sector, especially experience of working/ liaising with government in livelihood-based projects is preferred.

Employment Status (Permanent /FTE/part time/ contractual): Fixed Term Employment

Job & Role Description:

The Associate will strategically lead all Research, advocacy and Content Development activities at AIACA.

The role of ESP and Advocacy Manager will entail the following responsibilities:

ESP

• Supporting ED in developing and implementing ESP interventions

• Matching AIACA’s empanelled designers and Consultants with the available assignments

• Supporting ED in developing modules for various ESP Interventions

• Supporting ED in developing and implementing Technical assignments

• Managing and Reviewing various ESP and Project Reports

• Supporting ED in Monitoring & Evaluation of ESP Programmes

Content Development

• To develop content required for various publications of AIACA including monthly Newsletters, Annual Reports, Blogs, articles etc

• To develop content for AIACA and Craftmark Websites

• To support ED in writing various Concept Notes and Proposals

• Writing Reports for Technical assignments like Baseline/Endline, Assessment Reports, DPR, DSRs etc

Research & Advocacy

• To lead the research initiatives at AIACA

• To develop and contribute to advocacy initiatives undertaken by AIACA, to highlight the work of the Craft Sector and issues being faced by the Sector

• Supporting AIACA and artisans to apply for awards, recognitions etc, to gain more visibility to the Craft Sector

Any other Task

• Document workshops, meetings, consultations and develop information leaflets/ manuals

• Manage communications and correspondence between partner organizations and stakeholders on the Switch Asia Project and develop the quarterly newsletter of AIACA.

• Any other assignment as deemed necessary for the organization and the project or assignments as detailed by Line Manager or Executive Director

Competency/ Skill sets required:

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Research and analytical skills

• Good Report writing skills

• Good knowledge of computer - Windows and Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)

• Ability to manage data and records and analyze and interpret data

• Excellent organizational, problem-solving and time management skills

• Must be a team player and keep their eyes focused on the wider goals of the organization.
