About the Organization:
Multiple Sclerosis Society of India (MSSI) is a registered non-profit organization that was established in 1985, to serve Persons afflicted with Multiple Sclerosis (PwMS), caregivers and their family at large. With 9 chapters (Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Indore, Kolkata, Mumbai, Pune & Trivandrum) and 3000 registered members, MSSI works to improve the quality of life of persons with MS, providing services such as Medicine support, Home Nursing care, Physiotherapy, Scholarship etc. MSSI is also advocating for the Rights and entitlement of PwMS at the State and National level.
Major Role and Responsibilities
Work in close coordination with the Mumbai Chapter’s Office Bearers and support in day-to-day activities.
Providing day-to-day administrative assistance in office management and in organizing events & medical conferences for MS patients & their families.
Scheduling Managing Committee Meetings once a month & writing minutes.
Attending important meetings and assisting Office Bearers by taking notes and preparing reports of the same.
Any other responsibility assigned by the Office Bearers.
Education/Experience:
A Bachelor’s degree or similar qualification in Social Sciences (preferred Social Work), or a similar background
Preferably 2 years of relevant experience in dealing with Disability Sector, Health, or similar field.
Skills and Competencies
Understanding of the NGO sector
Excellent English Drafting & Communication skills
Working knowledge of Hindi & Marathi.
Expert knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Salary as per qualifications & experience upto Rs 30,000/month
