Position: 2 (Project Lead

Location: Pune City in Pune District, Maharashtra

Tapasya has been operating since 2018 as a policy-implementing organization & till now, we have supported more than 40000 families in getting the benefit of multiple welfare schemes by Centre, State, and Municipal Corporations & Village Panchayats.

Based on our experience, we realized that getting access to various welfare schemes/policies and making family members future-ready can help them break the vicious cycle of poverty. Our community-driven approach to driving demand for rights and changing the mindset towards various behavioral aspects can bring a sustainable change in society.

Our Goals: Tapasya aspires to support families from the socio-economically disadvantaged sections of society in coming out of poverty. We also want to ensure that these families have access to information and nudges to make the right choices for their family members through ‘Project Sakhi.’

Our specific focus areas are:

- Future readiness around unlocking welfare schemes

Vision: Empowering vulnerable families to access government benefits and facilitating their path out of poverty within their lifetime.

Mission: Empowering one million vulnerable families with knowledge and tools to harness the power of social welfare programs by 2030.

Job Profile: The candidate will be expected to do the following things as the lead of the project location: -

a. Build relationships with District and block-level government officials from multiple departments, ward/local-level Government Stakeholders like CDPO/ANM/ASHA/AWW workers/PDS shopkeepers, and local like-minded organizations.

b. Coordinate with community mobilizers (Sakhis) to ensure the smooth implementation of the program.

c. Organize various community-level meetings, training, workshops, camps, etc., in coordination with local vendors/stakeholders/resource persons.

d. Document all the minutes of the meetings/training/activities, Etc.

e. Spend 70% of the time on the field and 30% in the office. All planning and reviews will be done per the organization's process.

f. Manage the project data in the organization's app.

g. Undertake research studies as per the organization's requirements.

Skills and attitude required:

a. Candidates should be comfortable reading, writing, and speaking Marathi and English. Knowledge of Hindi will be an added advantage.

b. The minimum qualification required is a Graduate/Master's degree in Social Work, Public Policy, or any other subject relevant to our work.

c. Minimum three years of experience.

d. Candidates should commit to a full-time engagement with us.

e. Should be comfortable working with numbers, data, and Microsoft Office.

f. Should be able to work in and manage a team of diverse backgrounds.

g. We are looking for a team member who can initiate and lead his/her work and take us to a different level from where we are now.

Salary: Based on experience and suitability. (Travel expenses will be reimbursed separately as per organizational travel policy.)
