JOB OVERVIEW:

We are looking for a Communication Associate who will be able to provide high quality documentation for proposal development and communicate with our clients on behalf of the agency. For this position, we are looking for a colleague with highly communicative personality who proactively addresses assignments with a high degree of energy and power. The Communications Associate will provide strategic and skill based support to the Agency through strategy development, capacity building in social development goals, content development, research, digital marketing and other administrative tasks as is the need, specializing in design of strategic communication, behaviour change development interventions. The person would support the Media Advocacy efforts, coaching, facilitation and working closely with other members of the team towards the team’s objectives. This position is based in New Delhi, India and will report to the Creative Head.

The preferred candidate should have some experience from a similar position within the development sector. Base location should be Delhi/ NCR.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Tender Documentation/ Proposal Writing- Create technical, financial, creative and research proposals/ bids on behalf of the agency for tendering into projects with major national & international socio-developmental organisations and government bodies.
Develop and deliver engaging and polished presentations to bring in new clients.
Cultivate lucrative relationships with both new and existing clients through effective communication.
Monitor any future issues carefully and reached out to clients to provide immediate resolution.
Work with other teams (Content, Design, Video Production team, etc.) and superiors in the agency for timely completion of tasks.
Develop effective communication strategies
Produce training materials as the organization takes on the role of a training/capacity building for clients programs
Writing, editing methodologies & approach for Technical Proposals and for new client pitches
Establish and cultivate local and national media and public contacts for disseminating information.
Draft Edit, Proof Read content (e.g. Reports, Manuals, press releases) for mass media or company website
Manage internal communications (memos, Web pages, Twitter, Face book, LinkedIn etc.)
Liaise with media and handle requests for field interviews, statements etc.
Collaborate with marketing team to pitch for new accounts
Work in order to build the organization’s visibility and presence in the Development Sector
Should be willing to travel as & when needed and work late hours if required for the project

Skills and Experience

Bachelor’s/ Master’s Degree in Development Communications / Mass Communication/ Journalism / Food and Nutrition/ Public Health
Knowledge of Microsoft Suite Software, Windows 2000, and Windows XP, Adobe Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) (Preferred)
Strong editorial eye
Draft Edit, Proof Read content (e.g. Reports, Manuals, press releases) for mass media or company website
Develop effective communication strategies
Writing of Technical proposals
Manage internal communications (memos, Web pages, Twitter, Face book, LinkedIn etc.)
Foster relationships with advocates and key persons in Development sector
Collaborate with marketing team to pitch for new accounts
Assist in communication of strategies or messages from senior leadership
Ability to write for public messaging, development of behaviour change communication materials, IEC tools through written, visual and oral communication
Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English & ability to speak and write in Hindi
Organized and meticulous, attention to details, articulate with written and oral communication skills, works well under stress and sustains positive attitude
Should have experience in some of these fields like: Public health, Safe Motherhood, Early Childhood Development, Adolescent Development, Food & Nutrition, Breast Feeding, Family Planning, Water Sanitation & Hygiene, Diarrhoea & Prevention, HIV AIDS, Disasters & Emergencies, Immunization, Policy Advocacy, Knowledge Management, Basic Education & Gender Equality, Child Survival & Development, Child Labour & Protection, Integrated Child Development Scheme, Women Empowerment.
